[FF8/FFVIII] Problem with changing the cd1 -> cd2

Hi

I'm currently using ePSXe. I downloaded FFVIII [cd1] from *removed* and everything worked correctly. Then it came to a point where you have to change the cd. After the battle with Edea the game asked if I wanted to save and I did save to a memorycard. Then I extracted cd2 from my own FF8 ('cause the download wasn't working for some reason), started it and now the game says there is no data in memorycard. I says it even if I play cd1.

To put it short: I cannot download my game when I start cd2.

Could it be because the cd2 is extracted from a real cd?

Please help!

//sorry, I accidentaly posted this to a wrong area. please move this to the ePSXe area...

Hello hroseh (sympathic nickname but give headache to my tongue lol).

You say that you save to a memory card but did you create a mcr file (memory card file) in the memcards file of epsxe?

If not you will save in a "blank area".if you want to create a memcard file use the program Epsxecutor that you can find here :http://www.pbernert.com/html/frontend.htm

Hope it will help you.Bye!

I managed to do it... somehow.

Now cd1 reads the memorycard but cd2 (which is extracted) doesn't. So the real problem is cd2. I have no idea why I cannot download it anymore, it keeps saying something about leecher alert...

Do you know where else I could get cd2 and further cds?

I must say I don't understand...First why didn't you use your own FF8 cd1?
Second verify that you gave to Epsxe the right directory path to your memcards.

I didn't work at first so I decided to download it.

Perhaps cd2 doesn't recognize memorycard just because it's extracted and cd1 isn't... I guess I must try to download cd2 once more.

Thank you for your help!

NGEmu does not suppport piracy. Also, many ISOs floating around on the Internet are ripped improperly and can cause issues. Go here for some help with ripping your own discs.
