MultiGPU support...?

Is it at any rate possible to add Dual/Quad SLI and/or Crossfire support in any GPU plugin or it's too much trouble?Would it make any difference in any case?

Just curious

probably wouldnt make any difference. if you have a graphics card that is running in SLI (such as a 7900) it's already fast enough to max out any sort of setting that you can give PSX emulation. my 6800 (AGP) takes any setting i throw at it, i don't think you need 2 or 4 GPUs for PSX emulation...

Yes but most modern systems can emulate PSX almost perfectly. Now,I know this is a PSX emu thread but do you think that PS2 or Xbox or Gamecube emulation can benefit from multi-GPU systems?

btw I have 2 6600GTs DDR3 and I am more than satisfied

well right now the big problem with emulation those systems is CPU, not GPU. dual GPU couldn't hurt, but i bet dual CPU is more important.

If you want SLI to work. Just setup SLI to run with AFR/SFR/SLIAA by default and it will automatically enable. However like its been mentioned. Most PSX emulation is just straight texturing. And is mostly CPU limited. You'll have no issues running @ 1600x1200 with SLI16xAA enabled in PSX emulation.

As far as emulation of newer titles. It's gonna really depend on how the plugin is developed. For PS2/Xbox shaders/GPU functions will be very easily emulated by most modern hardware. But there is still alot of CPU processing going on emulating other functions of these devices.
