Thanks for the shaders guest(r).

BTW, have you seen Pete Bernert around? I need to talk to him about implementing your shaders in VBA-M in GLSL/OpenGL mode. Mainly, I have some queries about OGL2Inv, OGL2Size, OGLParam, and other ism's to do with his plugin and how they are meant to be handled by the shader parser.

Mr. Bernert monitors his site from time to time, so you can drop a message or two.
The variables:

OGL2InvSize.xy: 1/texture_size.xy
OGL2Size.x = texture x size (for example "2048" in "high internal resolution" setting)
OGL2Size.y = texture y size (for example "1024" in "high internal resolution" setting)
OGL2Size.z = tex rect width used for current rendering (psx display width)
OGL2Size.w = tex rect height used for current rendering (psx display height)
OGL2Param.xy: shader effect level depending pre_calculated texel offset values (dx, dy)
OGL2Param.z: shader effect level - 1

Just upgraded my video card to a 1650XT and overclocking it. Looking for a shaders that would really put as much use as possible with the limations of the plugin and ps1 gaming...i have plenty of FPS to spare even with everything maxed out.

Would be nice if we could combine shaders, but sadly we can't

I'm wondering the same. I'd like what in your opinion are the best shaders for displaying these games on a 1080p LCD. Basically whichever offer the highest quality textures for 3D games.

Also, anyone come up with a film reel type shader? I'd love for horror games like Silent Hill and Resident Evil to have a looping film grain effect.

So I was told Natural Vision is the best shader for really high res textures on a bigscreen LCD, but what do you recommend for sprite-based games (2D)?

Also, anyone willing to make my request for a film grain shader? It would look awesome for Resident Evil and Silent Hill.

I really love to play old psx games on my pc with massive improved graphics
Today i found this new GPU plugin and i almost can't believe that you can get more better graphics ! So i downloaded and tested, everything works fine, graphics are indeed way better BUT there are problems with my games.
They all play good but they are missing textures Look at the pics of some of my games (Driver 2, Destruction Derby Raw, Gran Turismo 2 and Need For Speed High Stakes)

These are my computer specs:
P4 3.0Ghz HT
1G ram
Ati X1300 Se with 512 ram and overclocked

My config:

Thanx in advance !!!

Alright, I've tried and tried to get this done but I keep coming across one problem. Whenever I try to activate any fo that shader options I get a missing file notification and then xPSXe will run weird. Any advice?

the custom file error? ive seen a few people getting this issue lately, look through this thread and read what i said towards the middle. and just in case, make sure you graphics card can support the advanced features the OGL2 plugin offers. another thing you might want to know about is that it will often give you a missing wgl extension error if your card does not work with the OGL2 plugin. sometimes this can be fixed by simply making sure you have the latest drivers installed for your card. if it doesnt give you the wgl extension error, you should be fine but if it does, you will need to use either a software, d3d or OGL1 plugin instead. and to save you frustration if this applies to you: if you are using an ATI card model with somewhat recent or very recent drivers avoid using any and all of the GL based plugins. of couse if none of this applies to you, you dont have anything to worry about so just follow what i said to do in the link i posted above and that should fix the custom file error message.

I wouldn't say my card is extremely new... but I am somewhat curious if an ATI Radeon x850 series card falls into that category, though I suppose if it does I can just give up on the idea.

im pretty sure it isnt really card model specific, its something to do with their drivers. but in a way, yes, your card model may be related because some card models only work wth specific drivers but i still think the drivers are the main ingrident here though, not the card type. i dont have a ATI card/drivers and i havnt used a computer with one in a while either, however if you read some of the stuff in this thread you might get a better idea of how it would play out for you. note that this is affecting alot of openGL stuff out there. and while im not entirely sure since again, i havnt delt with anything from ATI in a while, but i dont think this issue is limited to GL plugins for epsxe. pc games running on openGL are probably having trouble as well. your best bet would be to take it up with another ATI user who is getting problems and see what they know about the whole situation so far.

I seem to be having problems myself. Whenever I try the .slf/.slv shaders, I'm getting a "Missing GLSlang Extensions" error. I've checked the path name over and over, and the .vp/.fp files seem to work fine for me when I set the file path.

This is yet another reason to get a newer comp(or at least a video card) I am amazed by the way Bahamut looks in cartoon form; stunning!
