Pixel shaders with Radeon 9200 se..can't get it t work??Do I need a new card?

I'm not sure if my card supports pixel shaders? but if it doesn't I'm looking for another card that does...preferabl the Radeon 9600XT 256 or the 9800. What should I get that will let m use those cool cartoon shaders? The 9600 looks liek a good deal for pretty cheap.

That card should support up to 1.4 but it is SE version and that is bad...
You want to use OGL2 right? Well if the errors doesn't stop you then
you will find out that OGL2 will perform very badly on that card.

Yeah 9600 would be minimal but i suggest you get GeForce 6200, it is cheap and good card.

Sorry about the double post..it was a mistake....anyway I was looking at the Geforce 6200...but I see so many? Do I need the card to support pixel shader 2.0 or is 1.5 enough? I found a card at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...e+6200&Ntk=all
and its like $38 and supports pixel shader 2.0.

anymore recamendations for cards...I'm prepared to spend like $100...but if that Geforce 6200 128 for $38 is enough I'll score that no problem.

Pete recomends an 8pipe card to get a very good speed on OpenGL2 plugins with most of the bells and whistles enabled, the 6200 being a Pixel and Vertex Shader 3.0 capable card is fine, but in terms of speed it may have a problem, since some of the shaders requires 8 texture passes or sumthin suited for 8pipe and higher cards (the 6200 only has 4pipes). It would be better to get a GeForce 6600 card and above for it.

Hmm, not that it matters, but my other computer has a radeon 9200se (LP), and it can run OGL2 great. Maybe I'm just lucky

yeah, but your not running it in its full glory(very high or Ultra X/Y internal resolution, custom shaders, pixel shader texture window etc.)
