Screan goes to black

I have been playing final fantasy 7 and it worked great like four or five times. Was able to play stop, then play some more. After a while I started to play some other games on the computer then tried to go back to FF7 but now when I go to start the game the screan simply goes to black and stays that way. I have to ctrl+alt+del to get out of it. Anyone have any ideas why this may be happeneing?

I am curently using Delta2 V2.01 to access the game. Also my drive did a sweep between the two times not sure if that would effect anything.

Pentium 4 2.0Ghz
NVIDIA GeForce 6600 GT
1GB Rambus Ram
