Lightbulb Medal of Honor 2

I am running an import of Medal of Honor 2 on EPsxe, and it runs very well except when you go to the first mission the FPS skips around like it will be 15 for a few seconds, then 5, then 40, then 30...should i reburn it, or is there something else I can do? thanx.
