Peops soft driver 1.17 and 2xsai stretching

hi everyone,

i've recently updated my peops gpu plugin to version 1.17, (thanks pete!!), and i've some problems with 2xsai/hq2x/scale3x/whatever stretching. the sony bios screen and the playstation logo are correctly shown, but when the game begins, the display is erm .... how can i explain that with my broken engrish ??

well, a screenshot is worth a thousand words in this case:

i always used peops 1.16 with 2xsai stretching, and i never experencied this problem before. it happens with 16/32 bit color, and with every desktop resolution. i must use the "scale to windows size, keep aspect ratio" option, a bit ugly in comparison of the 2xsai stretching.

here's my specs:
athlon xp 1800, radeon 8500 64mb ddr, catalyst 5.6, xp pro sp2.

do you have a similar problem with gpu peops? maybe the new graphics filters introduced in 1.17 (hq3x is great, unfortunately my athlon 1800 is too weak) are disturbing my lovely 2xsai stretching...

i'm really stupid. i've omitted the emulator. i'm using ePSXe 1.6.0

hushypushy, i have tried the three dither modes and the problem didn't solved. i have also activated the system memory option (which disables the auto screen filtering) and even the vsync two options i never use, and the display is still broken in stretched modes. the game i wanted to play, you recognized it i'm sure, is street fighter alpha 3. so, i've activated the special game fix for the capcom 2d fighters. i turned the special game fix off, and there's no changes.

if someone can help me, i will give you more pics of haruka ueshima.

thanks a lot MxC!
I'll try this right now.

i had to install the libguide40.dll file in windows/system32. now the stretched modes are displaying perfectly

only the scale3x stretching and hq3x stretching are crashing epsxe (BSOD just after the Playstation logo), maybe because my cpu is too weak : AthlonXP 1800+. the scale3x and hq3x non stretched modes are fine.

you and the Peops team deserve this gift:

libguide40 was only needed for that build i posted here because i left a compiler flag on by accident.
I removed that build since it is now outdated.
This one has many changes since that one. The linux X version has the new filters now also. This one also has an experimental tweak to fast foward. Let me know if it causes problems.
Here is a link for the windows binary.

oh i'm really sorry MxC, i did'nt replied for awhile. I were in holidays, i'm just back home since this week.

I'll beta test the build you posted this afternoon, and i will post the results.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Edit: Here's the results of my beta testing

The Fast-forward option (activated by pressing the add button) worked fine.
Every graphic filter is now displaying correctly. In the previous build, the Scale3X and HQ3X stretching were freezing my computer. There's just a little bug in the HQ3X stretching. It's behaving like the Scale3X filter:

This problem affects both HQ3X stretching and unstretching modes.

thanks MxC now the HQ3X is displaying perfectly.

there's just one little bug left, it's not really important. The Scale3X unstretching is not centered on the screen:

http://skaiboy.free.fr/scale3xunstretched.jpg

Sorry, I have'nt found this early.
Maybe because the resolution i used is a low 1024x768. I tried 1280x1024, scale3x unstretching but the display remains black. I can hear the music of the game, so my computer is not freezing. I think my processor is not able to handle scale3x in such a resolution, it's a poor AthlonXP 1800+.

Can someone else try Scale3x unstretching in 1280x1024 with a stronger processor? Thanks.

Hi everyone. I'm new here.
I have been doing some extensive searching for a good link to the
revised peops soft 1.17 plugin that fixes the 2xsal,h3x,etc. bug mentioned in this post.
Despite my best efforts, I just can't find one. All of the links are dead.
I was wondering if someone could do me a HUGE favor and post a new working link. I know its been a long while since the last post in this thread, but I recently got back in the groove of emulating and I'm trying to play an import of ToP for psx.

Thanks in advance.
