Try lowering the Internal X res a notch Failing that, use the copy info button in the plugin to post your current config

Ah! All is revealed. You need to sort out ppf patching or subchannel reading. Take a wander over to my site (click the sig image). There should be guides there for that

hey there guys,i have a problem and i wonder if any of you guys could help me sort it out. i have my emulator configured this way: Resolution/Color: - 800x600 Window mode - Internal X resolution: 1 - Internal Y resolution: 1 - Keep psx aspect ratio:on - No render-to-texture: off - Filtering: 2 - Hi-Res textures: 0 - TexWin pixel shader: on - VRam size: 128 MBytes Framerate: - FPS limitation: on - Frame skipping: off - FPS limit: Auto Compatibility: - Offscreen drawing: 1 - Framebuffer effects: 3 - Framebuffer uploads: 1 Misc: - Scanlines: off - Mdec filter: on - Screen filtering: on - Shader effects: off - Flicker-fix border size: 3 - GF4/XP crash fix: off - Game fixes:all off my problem is that textboxes appear with little bug image at the right of them,i have alredy tried disabiling my antistropic filtering and changing my filtering option, but its the same. the awkard thing is that when i use pete opengl2 driver 1.76 thinks work just fine. any idea what this can be? ps:i will post a screenshot later |

Hello, i'm having some difficulties running this game the way i'd like to run it, i tried alot of different settings but i cant seem to get one that actually working the way i want it to work. Maybe i should try other gpu's but for now i wanna try this one First up, my specs.AMD64 3500+ GeForce 7800 GT 256Mb PCI-e 1gb RAM I am using home made .iso files made and run with Alcohol120% since running from my hdd is much faster then having the cd in my drive. The best and fastests performance i had thus far is when i had almost all settings on max using industrians settings, but still i'm having some probs. The battles seem really slow as if its too much to load, and the sound slows down aswell, yet fps keeps @ 40 or something yet i read that people here have 180 therefor something must be wrong. Second during the battles there is a flickering in the lower part of the screen, white/black/white/black etc. I think i read somewhere how to fix this, but cant find it anymore Then the third problem so far and that is the animation of the characters, they keep changing shape. from slim arm to fat arm, from big shoulders to slow shoulders, i dont think that this is normal, therefor it must be wrong. I hope someone can give me some pointers on how to change this and in mean time i'll keep looking for settings on simular pc's as mine

as for your first two problems....just try tweaking around the settings, thats all. your computer is wayyyy more than you need (i wrote this guide with an athlon 2500+ and a FX5600) so you should be ok. as for the third thing, thats just a limitation of the PSX. you'll see the effect a lot more as you raise the resolution. |

I'm having the exact same problem PLT88 was having; namely, when I try to open the game, I get a missing framebuffer extension error. The trouble is, I've tried all the advice you gave him and it hasn't fixed the problem on mine, possibly because it's not an Italian version of the game and his was. I'm not sure. Anyway, I've tried setting everything up the way it was in the first post, and I tried some other configurations I saw throughout the topic, but none of them did much. Here's what I currently have it set at, after tweaking around with it for a while: Plugin: Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.8 Author: Pete Bernert Card vendor: ATI Technologies Inc. GFX card: MOBILITY RADEON X300 x86/SSE2 Resolution/Color: - 800x600 Window mode - Internal X resolution: 1 - Internal Y resolution: 1 - Keep psx aspect ratio: - No render-to-texture: àš - Filtering: 6 - Hi-Res textures: 2 - TexWin pixel shader: on - VRam size: 128 MBytes Framerate: - FPS limitation: on - Frame skipping: off - FPS limit: Auto Compatibility: - Offscreen drawing: 1 - Framebuffer effects: 3 - Framebuffer uploads: 2 Misc: - Scanlines: off - Mdec filter: on - Screen filtering: on - Shader effects: 4/4 - Flicker-fix border size: 0 - GF4/XP crash fix: off - Game fixes: off [00000000] As for my computer info, it is as follows: Intel Pentium M Processor 1.60 GHz 512 MB RAM Video card is above SigmaTel C-Major Audio sound card The framebuffer extension thing isn't the only problem I have, though. Sometimes, when I try to configure the CDR plugin, it doesn't let me select my CD-Rom drive. NONE is the only option I can select from the list. This happens with 1.5.2 and 1.6.0 alike, and it doesn't happen all the time, but it does happen. Another annoying problem is that I might avoid the framebuffer extension error (I guess this depends on what settings I've tweaked), but ePSXe (either version) will shut down on its own. However, the music for the game's opening cinema and main menu will play endlessly, even after the program has closed, and the only way to get it to stop is to restart the computer entirely. Also, people have suggested changing the "No-render-to-texture" feature. However, with OpenGL2 2.8, that option doesn't exist as far as I can see. In some screenshots there should be a checkbox with No-render-to-texture beside the Internal X resolution, Internal Y resolution, etc, but in this one it's not there, and I can't find it anywhere else on the screen. If anyone could help me figure this out, I would greatly appreciate it! I'm not really much of a computer person so I have no idea where to begin outside of these guides. ^^;; Last edited by Elrundir; May 16th, 2006 at 00:35.. |

"No-render-to-texture" shows up in Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.8 as "Render Mode" set that to "0: Render to pbuffer-texture (standard)." Quote:
Try my attached config. Last edited by industrian; May 16th, 2006 at 00:45.. |

That configuration does bypass the framebuffer extension error, but when I load up ePSXe, I just get a blank screen and the program stops responding. The same thing happens if I try to run it in another emulator like PSXeven. It's still a step in the right direction, though, since I guess no error is better than any error. ^^
