Alright well, this is turning into the type of discussion I don't want it to be. It says something in the first post, and I originally wrote a post a few posts above this one.

Quote:
If your question is "my FF7 doesn't run right when I use your config" then leave this thread immediately. Make your own thread.
So please make your own thread, you can even . Your concern is valid and I have a few things I'd like to say about it. However, like it says, this post is for discussion of FF7 OGL2 configs and tweaking them...NOT getting it to work in the first place as your problem is about.

Nice edit job, smartass. You edited your post 49 minutes after I posted. Your denial is beneath you.

i was too busy working out how to fix the issue that you couldn't.

I use a fairly low end machine Athlon XP 2.5 1gb DDR333 GF FX5200. Your original settings don't work for me but I fiddled well before I found this thread and the best specs (speed/graphics compromise) I have found are attached.
I do get some slow-downs during transition into battles but this is the best settings I have found for my system.
Hope this helps anyone without a powerful graphics card.

considering i've run at higher setings using a mx440, your post doesn't help anyone.

I'm still having problems with FFVII...
I'm using Pete's GL 2.9, and tried out more than 6 diferent configurations I found in-forum, including both on the first page of this topic...
Below, I'm posting the pics of the config and the error that appears... Any ideas to solve?

The errors that appear...

The configuration...

My video setting

Sorry only posted pics, but I was afraid that I would type something wrong or some problem similar to that, so posting the pics sounded a better idea...

So, think anyone can help me out??

Thanks again,
Myt.

your video card does not meet the requirements for the OGL2.

Squall. Why are you always so negative. I have run higher settings on my old GF4 MX440 aswell, but I was simply posting the settings that I use with OGL2 for FFVII. Settings that have also worked with most of the games I play without any problems. This thread is for the discussion of OGL2 in FFVII (not necassarily the best quality settings) and these are the settings I use. If you have a problem with this, tough. Of course I can run better settings but then I don't get such high frame rates when I want them eg travelling on the world map.
In short grow up Squall. Just because the settings are of no use to you doesn't mean you should condemn them.

I'm amazed that those settings even work, considering to use FB:3 requires that the rendermode be set to atleast 1, otherwise the FPS is hit greatly. not to mention, you have offscreen drawing set to a value that will just cause graphical anomalies during certain Materia summons, Oh, lets not forget to mention that you haven't even got the FF7 ignore small framebuffer moves fix enabled, so the hand cursor won't show up.

Your settings FAIL.
Now considering i've configured Epsxe on cards from GEforce 2, through to Geforce 7, Including Geforce 5200, 56/700 5900, i know what the card is and isn't capable of.

You can use the OGL2 plugin, you just need to set render mode to 1, and disable 'use pixel shader for PSX Texture window emulationi'

Actually I've found that setting the FB to 3 makes the hand cursor visible. Otherwise I would of used a lower setting. However, if the special fix will also solve this I may well amend my settings but believe me they do work absolutely fine so far, for me.

I'm having a problem. I'm running Final Fantasy VII off of an ISO of a CD (CD's are in good condition) and I'm running it with Pete's OpenGL 2.9, and I have a strange graphical glitch. So far, the game has run flawlessly (aside from the slight border flickering), except for one part - at the end of Disk one, when Aeris/th is about to die, there were a couple wierd squares that were jarbled colors that showed up...I didn't think much of it since it happens quick and never showed up again.

So I've been going through Disk 2 and I'm at the part where Tifa is trying to help Cloud figure out who he really is...I just did the part where she's going through his Nibelheim memories, and I went through the part at the well. After that part, returning to the section with the multiple clouds, the area suddenly becomes nothing but jarbled graphics except for Tifa and Cloud - everything is jarbled and I can't tell what everything is, including the text box.

I'm running it with ePSXe 1.7.0. My system specs are:

Athlon 64 3700+
2gb PC3200 DDR Ram
Geforce 8600 GTS 512 mb
Creative X-Fi
Windows XP Service w/ Service Pack 3
Viewsonic 20.1" widescreen monitor

Here are my OGL2 settings:

Fullscreen Mode
Resolution: 1680 X 1050
Color Depth 32bit
NO Desktop changing
Internal X Resolution: 2
Internal Y Resolution: 3
Strecthing Mode: 0
Render Mode: 0
Texture Filtering: 4
Hi-Res Texture: 2
GFX Card Vram: 512 mb
Use pixel shader: Turned off

Use FPS Limit: On
Use Fram Skipping: On
Autodetect FPS/Fram Skipping Limit: On

Off-screen drawing: 2
Framebuffer Effects: 3
Framebuffer Upload: 1

Screenfiltering: on
Shader Effects: 1
Shader Level: 4
Flicker-fix Border: 2 pixels

MDEC Filter: on
Special Game Fixes: 0x0002

Does anybody have any ideas how I can fix it?

Here is a screenshot of the problem.

http://img218.imageshack.us/my.php?i...lglitchoc9.jpg

This is the only time I've encountered the problem playing the game that actually made it unplayable.

Actually, I did figure it out. I stuck the CD in and ran that section and it was fine...so it turned out my ISO was bad. Remade the ISO and it was fine, no problems.
