Missing menus

I am using Pete's Direct 3d DX6 video driver and the graphics look beautiful but in Final Fantasy 8, the battle menus are missing! If you could help me, that would be great!

Maybe set off-screen drawing to 3 will help.

Yes , try to config the offscreen drawing...try 'enhanced'!!!

i found that after the 1st cd the menus reappear even with the offscreen drawing not at 3 or 4.
