Polygon clipping in pete's plugin

Hello pete,

I've recently noticed that alot games seem to suffer from polygon clippings, tearing, and occasion collision errors. What I mean is in some games, polygons onscreen seem to sometimes disappear, collapse into one other, or even flickers. Can you verify wheter this is an emulator issue or plugin?

The reason I point this out is because in games like GT, MGS, and FF's, occasional polygon errors can really distract the player. Although these issues don't neccessary prevent the game from being playable, it totally downgrade the experience. Take MGS for example, during the beginning, the water seems to be tearing apart. Another instance involves snake's arms flickering about his chest area on the elevator scene. I'm pretty sure the real playstation doesn't doesn't exhibit these problems.

Since you've taken so much time improving quality options such as screensmoothing, 2xSAI, I thought that perhaps you could investigate this somewhat annoying issue. Thanks for your time and good luck.

Here's a screen from MGS. Notice the cracks on the water.

No Z-buffer = all of the above.. Essentially, those weird tears and wavvy polys are gonna be there when they've been stretched and distorted to look really nice on our 1600x1200 resolution monitors..

They're apparant on even the actual console, although you don't notice it as much since the resolution is so low.

BTW, why don't you use texture filtering?
