Exclamation FF9 sprite problem (corrputed graphics)

Hi,

I have a slight problem with Final Fantasy 9. The sprites are corrupted. Here's my config:

Plugin: Pete's OpenGL Driver 1.1.68
Author: Pete Bernert
Card vendor: NVIDIA Corporation
GFX card: GeForce2 GTS/AGP/3DNOW!

Resolution/Color:
- 800x600 Fullscreen - Desktop changing [32 Bit]
- Keep psx aspect ratio: on

Textures:
- R8G8A8A8
- Filtering: 5
- Hi-Res textures: off
- Palettized tex windows: off
- Garbage collection: on
- VRam size: 32 MBytes

Framerate:
- FPS limitation: on
- Frame skipping: off
- FPS limit: 60

Compatibility:
- Offscreen drawing: 3
- Framebuffer texture: 2
- Framebuffer access: 0
- Alpha multipass: on
- Mask bit: on
- Advanced blending: on

Misc:
- Scanlines: off
- Line mode: off
- Unfiltered FB: off
- Dithering: off
- Screen smoothing: off
- Screen cushion: off
- Game fixes: on [00000200]

Normally that's due to bad CD reading, or issues with Palletized textures. Seeing as how that opon isn't enabled, I can only assume the former.
BTW, what version of hte Dets are you using?

I'm reading the game from an ISO. Det's are 40.72s, I think.

Hm. Have you tried remaking the ISO, or reading from the CD?

No. I'm pretty sure that isn't the problem, but some of my settings. Maybe Pete can have a looksee here.
I used to get samekind of pixelated rainbow dots on the "loading" screens between scenes, too.

I see no problem with your settings, and I deal with FF9 problems day in day out.
Aththough that said, it may be worth a try turning 'Garbage Collection' off. and setting vRAM sive to 0 (Autodetect)

OK, I fixed it. Guess how? Saved to a game slot using a moogle and then loaded it. Now you have a new fix in your repertoire if someone has the same problem ever again

Odd.

Never rely solely on save states in games - use the memcard ones as well.
