P.E.Op.S resolution weirdness

When I set the resolution to 1280x960 in P.E.Op.S Soft GPU 1.12 it actually puts games in 1280x1024.
Anyone know why?

Because 1280x1024 is default for people who want to go over 800x600. If that is the case, why would they have the selection in the first place?

Minor point: There's no point running above 800x600 anyway as the 3D is simply scaled and 2d sees no improvement at higher resoloution.

I know, but I get a nasty scanline effect on my monitor on lower resolutions.

Cause your card can't handle 1280x960 maybe ?
EDIT : after checking your profile, I see you have a Ti 4600, looks like your card can handle that resolution ^^

Is it possible that the image is at 1280x960, but the monitor is set to 1280x1024 and it stretches the image? My monitor does this with some of the weirder resolutions, particularly high ones.

Take a screenshot, load it into your favourite paint app and see how big it is.

You're right Phoenix Flame, it is in 1280x960.
Also, its not just P.E.Op.S, its everything (I could of sworn I'd seen my monitors status window say 1280x960 before, should of checked first really ).
