Pete's OpenGL stopped working....

I havent changed any settings on my computer, etc...but now whenever I try and use Pete's OpenGL plugin (the one I normally use), the screen goes black while it switches resolutions, and then nothing (until I get a 'This Program has encountered an error' etc etc error message). EVERY other graphics plugin functions, even other OpenGL plugins, however they all have certain graphical issues/problems associated with them so I would REALLY like to get this problem fixed. Any advice at all? I also redownloaded the plugin and overwrote the one i had before, still no luck.

Even though i doubt it'll be useful: specs are

athlon xp 1700+
512 ram
geforce 3 (regular)
I guess thats all the pertinent stuff?

Thanks,
Greg

And here are my settings for the plugin (like i said, these used to work but now do not)

I've tried those also...its not the settings that are the problem i dont think (i mean, it worked before today with the same settings). I don't know what it could be. Like i said, even overwriting the plugin didn't solve the problem. Is all lost???

I dunno what the hell you did with your computer, but if what you said right now is true,..then,.... i am afraid its something to do with the computer settings.....check the display settings and the moniter driver,.....maybe having look on the graphical card driver settings is not a bad idea either

Well...I'm not trying to argue here or anything, but why would the other OpenGl plugin function fine, but his not no matter what i do? My intuition would say that if it were a comp setting, that it would affect all of the opengl plug ins. I'll try reinstalling the detonator drivers and get back with the result.

Ya must've done something for it to go all bandy like that. I think you'll have to either reinstall the drivers, reinstall ePSXe (and clean out the registry settings) or at the very worst, reinstall the OS.

Did you try downloading pete's opengl again and replacing the plugin?

Yeah, I think I've exhausted all of my options having done everything everyone has suggested in addition to anything I've thought of. Looks like it will be format time once more! Whee....oh, and even though other OpenGL plugins functioned properly, commercial OpenGL-using games (ex. MOHAA) will NOT run. Weird.

Thanks for all the suggestions ppl.

I would suggest reinstalling your graphics card drivers, as I have issues at the moment as my GeForce drivers got corrupted somehow, and now no OpenGL app will run on it.

yea, tried doing that. I even went so far as to uninstall the nvidia drivers completely, install generic VGA graphics, and THEN reinstall the det drivers. Still nothing. Even after, I didn't give up and just tried to isntall generic OpenGL 1.1 that comes with any OS. Nothing once more.

Since ePSXx doesn't give me any error, just locks up, I can't provide any of that info. But here is the log from MOHAA's startup, the last line is the one that is obviously the problem (the void). I just dont know what that refers to and therefore how to fix it. Maybe someone has seen this before and it rings a bell??

The drivers I downloaded are kosher, its just that reinstalling them doesn't do a bit of good for this problem (i have no idea why reinstalling video drivers doesnt solve a video driver problem lol). I've already begun the backup process for what I have concluded is the only probable solution....

Well, problem solved....I didn't have to format, I just had to 'upgrade' to the OS I was already using (XP). So if anyone else out there EVER gets this problem, there's your solution
