Radeon 8500 Configurations

I am using a Radeon 8500 128mb card. My specs:
P3 667 MHz
Sound blaster Audigy
DVD drive
512 MB PC133 SDRAM

What are the best settings using Pete's GPU plugins?
I have a problem with the game getting choppy and sound skipping. Before i upgraded from my Geforce2 Mx I never had these problems. I played around with the framebuffer but it is still the same.

It is like that for all my games. The games I am playing are Parasite Eve and Soul Blade.

the problem with the radeon is also that especially with slower systems it doesnt perform well. It will probably not make a difference if you turn fsaa on or set the resolution to 1280x1024, but lowering the settings wont make it any faster either.

You could try rage 3d tweaker (www.rage3d.com) and try a few different settings. Also, try eternal spu, see if using timer method and an increased buffer help, and in your gpu plugin, turn offscreen drawing off and maybe frameskip on.

I don't know much else what could help. I did the same as you, upgraded from a gf2mx to a radeon 8500 (in a p3 800) and I ended up putting the gf2mx back in. I really hope you'll find a solution though.

Upgrading to a faster computer might solve problems, but it's not sure at all. Most likely, even with a faster system, you'll still encounter certain problems.

Btw, what kind of radeon is that? Mine's a Club 3D Radeon 8500 LE, also 128MB.

Built by ATI radeon 8500...
But now the ePSXE says "win32 not enough memory to run program."
Even after a fresh restart the computer won't run it.

BTW when i fix the emulator problem can i use NextGL or Next3D?
