Question kernel32 shizzit...

close use some knowledge here...

I just installed epsxe 1.5.2 and when I attempt to config my setup I get this message: "the procedure entry point SMapLS_IP_EBP_20 could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll"....Basically, I'd like to know how I can fix this little deal so I can get to some gaming!

I am somewhat new to psx emulation, so this may come accross as a dumbazz question, but I would appreciate some assistance. For your info, I'm running windowsXP with pretty high quality processor, video and sound cards. Thanks y'all

Get force Aspi here:

http://www.ngemu.com/download/pafile...=download&id=2

Then choose to install win2000/winxp aspi layers.. Winxp doesn't have an aspi layer, that's why you need to install this..

Welcome to the boards.. Happy gaming..

How do you know his problem is CD related? Anyways you really don't need to install an ASPI layer as the Internal CD plugin has a Windows 2000/XP setting. It work's great without installing anything additional. Force ASPI isn't the solution to every error.

Because I've seen it before.. And force aspi is not good just for epsxe, but for a lot of other software as well.. So get it just in case..

Another solution would be to delete the TSG cd rom plugin from your plugin folder.. Delete any cdr plugin with "TSG" in it.. There should be 3 files..

I remember that TSG plugin. That was back in the old PSEMU Pro days wasn't it? I have never used it because it was not very compatible. Back then I used Barrets or whatever it was called. Anyways I guess you're right that most ePSXe errors are related to CD and ASPI. However I know that ASPI is not needed for the Win2K/XP plugins.

Why use the old ForceASPI program, when Adaptec provide the latest version free to everyone?
Grab it at http://www.adaptec.com/worldwide/sup...=aspi_v471.exe and enjoy
