Pete OGL 1.64 is working!!!!

Since I read a thread concerning the Pete's OGL 1.64 I retryed to install it on my Radeon and surprise: It works fine in any game at full details (best settings).

To be precise it works faster at 1280*960*32 than 1024*768*32 .
Strange? not realy (it's a multiple of 320*240).

Pete I erase what I said before against your new plugin....

Yes and except for 2xsai I would say everything is at 50 or 60 fps even for swirls and so on.
[question: why one week ago it was so slow??]

After every plugin release I get mails who are telling me the new plugin is faster/slower/less colorful/brighter/darker/whatever you can imagine...

There are so many systems with so many different hardware and drivers out there, that tracking every single problem down is nearly impossible.

So I usually just sit back and watch if there are many mails with the same reported issues. And if yes (like for example reports about black colored skies in NTSC games with 1.63/64), I try to take care about it...

anyway, thanx for your post... not many people are reporting back if they have solved a specific problem by themselves

Ok NeoJag,

Soon I'll be back at home I'll post my setings.

I re-played some critic parts of FF9 and I'm impressed. Now I run better than my GF2 and the quality is amazing in OpenGL @ 1280*960*32 on my AIW Radeon (7200).

BTW: I use the Omega / Plutonium XK 1118 Drivers for ATI.

I just downloaded the 1.65 plugins so I'll do some tests with them too.

just a small warning: from the reports I have seen so far, pal textures doesn't work on ATI cards... so you should better turn that option off, or games using texture windows will produce garbage.

Since now I had or found any pbs... I'm slowly testing many other games to see if something is wrong . Unfortunately one of my friends borrowed my Chrono Cross and Xenogears but I still have almost 60 others to test.

I remembered when I still have a Radeon 7000, the frame buffer effects drops my fps to 10 even in D3D plugin. That's also one of the reasons I replaced it with a Geforce2MX.
