FF8 problems i have 2

First.
1. I can't seem to save anymore it has happened twice, so i was wondering if anyone new how i can fix it so my game saves again.

2. Slow downs during a battle the combat seems to be slower than on a PS1 is there any way of fixing this?

1. Normally happens if you use save states. Try pressing F4 before trying to save.
2. Check the FPS limit box in the GPU plugin.

60 - 65 is a typical limit

However, being in Australia, you are running PAL game which run at 50. Select the Auto FPS instead to be easier. The one you need to select is "Use FPS limit" IIRC.
