Harharhar... as a matter of fact I have no beta testers at all... never had, never will

Well, sometimes when I meet calb or Lewpy on IRC, I'll give some private beta to them, or when somebody is giving me a game save state showing glitches, he will receive a beta to check out if the glitches are completely gone, but that's all.

Why no bigger crowd of beta testers, you may ask? Easy: I try to update my gpu plugin once per month, so basically everybody who has downloaded the latest release version is also a beta tester for me... everybody has the same chance to send me bug reports, save states, etc, helping me to increase the plugin quality... and no l33t3 "I have a beta, I'm a chosen one" posts, no "why is he a beta tester, but I'm not?" troubles... a steady update time period is the better way, imho.

1. Descent Maximum (a pain in the ass to get to work)
2. Syphon Filter 2
3. Jet Moto 2
4. Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2

What probalems do you have with Descent Maximum? Doesn't freeze at some levels while its loading? Thats what happens to me sometimes. I used the CD and I ripped an iso but it still froze randomly while loading levels. And the thing is, that you don't know which level its going to freeze at. It once happened on the 2nd level, once then another time on the 6th level. It can be a real pain in the ass when you don't save (like me).

Anyways back on topic, I wouldn't mind being a beta tester for Nickk's plugins (unfortunetly I can't test NextGlide ) but I just don't want to bother Nickk to ask.

Pete always gets it right the first time anyway.

And finding glitches with games using his plugin is getting harder to find with each new release... unless you have a ton of as-of-yet undiscovered JP games lying around somewhere...

There will be no perfect GPU plugin that will play any game flawless, no question about it. As long as the authors try their best on trying to, you will have success

I'm not saying flawless right off the bat, but most games just need a bit of tweaking to get them to look good in the existing versions of plugins. And sometimes it's even an emu bug.

And besides, it's gotta end one day as they (prolly) will shift their attention to a new challenge (like PS2 emu plugins).

imho, most beta-testing-hopefuls want to be testers for all the wrong reasons. Maybe not you slimshady165000, but i am always weary of people wanting to be a tester so they get the very latest version of plugins and not wanting to help the progression of the concerning plugin. i know this because once upon a time, i wanted to do the same thing, but i never went beta scrounging
