Exclamation Lewpy's GPU & X-Men Mutant Academy 2

I get black screen and nothing more (even the controller info wich always appears right after initialization). It's working fine with Pete's plugins but ofcourse Lewpy's one rulez with voodoo boards (it's faster and shows better colors). I've tried saving anywhere in game using those working plugins, then loading with Lewpy's but it shows the screen and hangs.
Anybody have a clue?

Sounds very weird
Can you post the settings you are using for my plugin? Use the COPY INFO button.
I may need a save-state, and I might be able to spot something. I will let you know.

It happens with X-Men Mutant Academy 1 also. I could never make it work with Lewpy's plugin. Pete's plugins and E}|{ Soft run the game fine, but Kazzuya's Soft doesn't work also, IIRC. I tried messing around with all the settings, but nothing worked.

Due to the maximu allowed size of file I can't attach the save-states. (ok, there's always a way...). So if you need it I will have to send it to you by mail.

Okay. If you could make a save-state using Pete's plugins, and then send it to me via email, I'll see what I can see

I took a look at the save-state you sent me, and it doesn't exhibit the problem you describe. Although nothing is shown on screen (it doesn't show the splash-screen, but it is there), the FPS counter and other on-screen display stuff works fine.
Hopefully, it is an issue that has been fixed with all the changes I've been making, but without the full game I can't be sure.

I'm almost sure you have. I don't event get to the FPS counter.
Allthough if you want to I can supply you one more save state in the middle of a fight. The one I send you was made right at the start (even before the splash screen appears, I think).

Sure, send another save-state. Also, let me know how it behaves on your system (ie. whether the FPS counter shows at all, etc.).

OK. Here's what I get:

When I load the game I get only black screen and nothing more. The keys are working but the screen is not being updated (so when I'm changing options in the menu by pressing DEL, they are changing, I just don't see it).

I've made a couple of save-states in different places. Most of the time after loading a save state the screen is updated once and then it hangs. Sometimes nothing but the FPS counter appears. I've tried one save-state made at the options screen and one time after loading it shows up and stays there, the other time it shows up but disappears immediately. The same is with save-states made during fight, but sometimes it acts quite differently. Sometimes the only thing that appears is the background (which is in 3d) - no models of fighters, no info about time, etc. One of the s-states was very different - after loading the level showed up. Nothing was moving but the FPS counter was changing (for a couple of secs, then everything went black).

If I remember correctly the FPS counter was drawn on every screen that appeared. Too bad I couldn't attach any screenshots (they were screwed up).

I'm sending one of the save-states to you (made during fight). I can send more, but they weight a little.

May I refer you to the v1.36 release notes for my plugin :-
Code:
- Fix for XMen Mutant Academy 2
I've added a new option (Odd/Even Update) which allows XMen Mutant Academy 2
     to work with my plugin.
Thanks to zeezee for help debugging this problem.
Try that
