peops pluggin issue in X-files the game , new bug

hello,
I have recently downloaded peops softgpu plugin 1.5 for epsxe.
Peops plugin or pete soft gpu were the only plugin that played "X-Files the game" well. No other plugins came close even after extensive testing.
Ironically Peops 1.5 solved a bug which were in earlier versions , which were not showing mood icons (funny , indeifferent , peranoid). But this plugin caused a new problem as screen sometimes went blanks during menu option (whole black). These problems were non-existent in earlier versions.

I have P4-1.5ghz , 128 sdram, tnt2m64 32mbvram card. and using epsxe 1.5.1.

I there a solution to find the middleway , so that menu problems go away.

There are also texture bugs in normal icons (hand , use etc), though they don't affect gameplay one bit.

I hope some user may guide me an alternate plugin solution.
Or developer of this plugin may solve this bug.

Thanks.
Jeetu
