FF9 Pal problem with Pete´s D3D GPU
I`ve got a big problem using these Plugins for FF9:
On Pete`s D3D plugins: Everytime I`m leaving a battle (or enter some locations) the Emulator crashes with the Message: "Opcode14 UNK (PC XXXXXX) (XXXXX,XXX)" My configuration is: Plugin: Pete's DX6 D3D Driver 1.1.60 Author: Pete Bernert GFX card: Voodoo3 PCI Resolution/Color: - 1024x768 Fullscreen - [16 Bit] Textures: - R5G5B5A1 - Filtering: 4 - Garbage collection: on - VRam size: 0 MBytes Framerate: - FPS limit: on - Frame skipping: off - FPS limit: Auto Compatibility: - Offscreen drawing: 2 - Framebuffer texture: 0 - Alpha multipass: on - Mask bit: on - Advanced blending: software Misc: - Scanlines: off [0] - Unfiltered FB: off - Dithering: on - Screen smoothing: off - Full vram: off - Game fixes: on [00000300] |

Try disaling the two framebuffer special fixes. That worked for me...

a couple of quotes from the version file that comes with the d3d/ogl plugins:
"A final note on the new FBR option (...): DON'T USE IT WITH FF9!!! FF9 is also reading back data after a battle... and if the new FBR option is enabled, ePSXe will crash with an unkown opcode" or "OGL plugin: the "Framebuffer read" and "Framebuffer read on move" special game fixes were giving a yellowish display some times. That's fixed. Still my old advise: activate the FB options only if you really need them, some games (FF9 for example) will not work if the options are turned on." |
