resident evil 2 movies glitch

hi,
i've got a werird problem with resident evil 2 and 3
on epsxe when the movies start the black lines at the top and bottom will be filled with the top and bottom of the frame before the video started
the videos play fine but the crap at the top and bottom is annoying

i did manage to stop it doing it once but i can't remember how

any help would be appreciated

system specs
celeron 666
192m sdram
nvidia geforce2 mx 32m
creative vibra 128

i'm using pete's gl plugin 1.60
