Sound buffer size [1-999]
XA buffer size [1-999]

if that's what you are talking about this lets you adjust how you want your sound buffered the higher the number the higher the quality but the higher you get the more you will notice the lag time it takes to buffer the sound. this can create some wierd delays in sound when playing mdecs and stuff. As for the best setting its always depends just experiment with it!

The default setting is 8, but bumping it up to 11 seems to work ok also. I've tried it at both 8 and 11 and have got great results both times.
sincerely,

The default setting is usually the best setting for most games

just use the default settings and you'll be fine. the three bottom options are only enabled if you want to play a certain game.

On my system, I've noticed that the multimedia thread is a little faster than the other one, even though I think it should be the other way around, and I keep my buffer set to 10 (as opposed to 8 or 11), as I notice an occasional stutter in one or two of my games if its below that, and the lower it is the better, otherwise. All other settings, just leave at default, except if a games requires one of them, like FFIX.
