You have to enable a *crapload* (well, actually, not THAT many hehe) of options before it'll work (no, it won't just work out of the box)... among the things you have to do, you have to enable the FF7 text fix, set offscreen drawing to the highest, and... there are about 3 other things to do before it'll work. Check the file version_159.txt for more details.

Worked for me, but it just zoomed in about halfway with a little swirling and then enterred battle. Better than sitting there waiting for a full swirl though.

Bah. I too have all those options enabled and it just starts the swirl and stops after half-a-second. It doesn't take any longer to enter a battle, but I still don't see the whole effect.

Well, of course I didn't check all swirls before every battle in that game, but the ones I've seen were OK.
Mmm... the only thing that comes in my mind is to look into your nvidia ogl display properties, to make sure that you have chosen "block transfer" as buffer flipping mode (needed with fullscreen mode in my ogl plugin to avoid flicker effects and to show certain screens). |

mmm... that's not exactly what I wanted (I can't see your special game fixes that way, well, but if you have checked the first two fixes it's OK), but at least I can see one thing which could cause your problems: frame skipping. Try to disable it.

I put my settings exactly to the ones here and i get it too, but the whole swirl sequence takes about 10 - 15 secs. Is there anything I can do about this?

I have FSAA bug fixed enabled and screen smothing is disabled. However, I recieve the same results with or without the FSAA bug fix enabled or not.
