Wierd OpenGL bug that has prevented me from keeping it as default.

For some strange reason, Whenever I use OpenGL, And I exit out of the game (esc key)

it returns to the desktop. But my screen turns into completely garbage (impossible to see what's on there, Honestly looks like my monitor threw up)

I hit Alt +F and scroll down to exit with the keyboard, And my screen returns to normal.

I only have this problem with OpenGl. tried several drivers and it always reoccurs,

Wonder if there might be a solution to this?

P.S it happens with any configurations, It also does not switch resolutions normally. I ask for 1024x786 and it puts me in an extremely low resolution, Don't quite understand why. But thats another issue I'm worken on.

also i found out that when you change the buffer-flipping mode, it returns to it's original settings.

Same Drivers, I think my monitor is starting to go bad actually. It's seems to be whats giving me my problems.

If I go above a 60 HZ refresh rate my screen starts jittering back and forth and it's haven trouble switchen resolutions in OpenGL.

I wonder if OpenGL uses max refresh rate?

Well both of you are using the GeForce 4 MX. Have you guys tried the recently released official nVidia drivers?

yup, i updated mine. btw, the buffer-flipping options now has only 2 options: Auto-select and block transfer. no page flip option

still, i get the same problems above (can't save settings on buffer-flipping)

I've had the wierd garbage on my screen since I got the card, Sometimes it works great, Sometimes it doesn (funny cuz I don't Overclock it and Epsxe is the only place it happens)

But the resolution issue I narrowed down the problem to OpenGL 1.59 As it does not occur with 1.58.

I'll look at it later..

Not really a big deal. Just annoying to have to switch to the same desktop resolution to play a game in that resolution.
