Crash on startup

Well I've just recently got my computer up and running again after reformatting the hard drive. I'm trying to get this downloaded and set up again but my problem is the it always crashes on startup, despite having scph1001.bin and d3dx9_26.dll . Any help that can be provided would be appreciated.

Does it crash with any error? If so what is it?

Using a plugin pack ?
A few files should be located elsewhere than in the plugins folder

There isn't an error, it just gives one of the 'psxfin.exe had encountered a problem and needs to close' messages. I guess I'll just try using v1.10 or 1.11.

Well 1.11 gives the same error as 1.12, but 1.10 works fine. 1.10 is also the version I had installed on this computer before.

@blackhawk5193: Sounds like you have an older AMD processor. There is a fix that is being done by pSX Author that should soon get v1.12 running for the older processors that don't support SSE instructions (which he used a few of on accident apparently, breaking compatibility for those few processors). Keep an eye on the official forums for more information on that...
