Valkyrie Profile - New Game Error
dudes... please help me out... i have this problem in playing valkyrie profile... (first of all, this is my first time to use an PS emulator... pSX is my first.) When i select "New Game" from the main menu, the game hangs, stops, halts, crashes... then, when i play music in the sound mode, it crashes too... then, when i play the prologue, when the girl starts to speak, it crashes as well... please, kindly help me... i desperately need to play valkyrie profile since i considered it my favorite rpg... i didn't have the chance to finish the game last 7 years ago because my cd was trashed... then when i finally found a seller of the cd, my ps is already wrecked... huhuhu... please help me out... valkarie profile has issues with freezing in PSX 1.11.
I recommend you use: EPSXE 1.5.2 I also recommend these plugins: Petes Gpu 1.76 (emulates the graphics) Eternal Spu (emulates the sound[/url] CdrSaPu v1.0 (emulates the cd drive) Extract those files into a folder called 'plugins' in the folder epsxe 1.5.2 folder. A guide on how to configure and use thise emulator: here

If I remember correctly you already had this problem.
An opcode error can be caused by many things including a scratched cd , a bad iso or even a faulty cd/dvd reader. I already asked you if you have tried with another PC. If you encounter the same issue we will partially know if yes or no your cd reader or the actual cd is bad.

RedLion is right, when you get an Opcode 'blablah' error where people usually don't, in most cases it's a corrupt ISO or badly scratched CD... could be a crappy CD drive too, but it's all related to read errors
