Symphony of the Night Problems
Hi all I tried putting this on my machine using pSX v1.11 and it ran fine however no sound was present. Is there anyway to sort this?
I finally got it working on my far inferior laptop but I keep getting hideous sound lag on stages with speaking and music jumps occasionally from screen to screen. Ive also had one crash. I am however playing straight from my disc as I have tried making ISO images of the file but they stick at 90%. Can anyone recomend a method to get the disc onto my PC? Ive tried using ISObuster and UltraISO and both got to 90% before hanging. Thanks in advance and sorry if Ive broke any rules, Ive done this as a last resort before I head off to bed. Could play the game with these little problems but would be nice to get rid of them to be honest. And Id ideally like to play it on my PC so if we can sort the sound issues out that would be even better! |

Nope, you haven't broken any rules. First what are your system specs? Do you have any sound problems with other games on psX, or is this the only game you've tried and which version of the game is it ( NTSC-U etc. )? I would suggest cleaning your disc, if you can try rubbing a bit of toothpaste on it if you see scratches, and then rinse it off. Also, install clonecd and see if you're able to make an image with that program... I was able to rip my US version of Symphony of the Night perfectly with it.

@Lexingtongue: If you haven't solved your problem yet, maybe you could try turning up your latency values a bit ("a bit" meaning about 5 ms at a time). The idea, of course, is to have it long enough to eliminate the crackling and such, but short enough that the sound isn't noticeably lagging behind everything else.
