FFV was indeed one of the best. The storyline, difficulty level, job-system, music... love it all. I have to say... anybody who's tried the NDS version of FFIII has to admit... they did a damn good job with it. Counting out the nice graphics (because, as any true RPGer will tell you, graphics don't matter much anyway), the remake is filled out really nicely. They left the greatest qualities of the game, and made the rest so much better.
I love RPG's with good storylines and fun gameplay (like CT), but I also love RPG's that are highly difficult and require a lot of leveling up (like 7th Saga). I think both varieties have great qualities. Funny enough, it seems like developers find it difficult to combine the two. Not to say there aren't any hybrids out there, but you have to admit... there aren't that many highly interesting games (in terms of storyline, music, etc) that are also difficult. I like to think that FFV is one of those few games that pulled it off quite nicely. FFT... the detailed storyline is simply awesome. Quite an easy game though. Spend an hour or so leveling up your characters in the very beginning of the game, and the whole rest of the game becomes so much easier. Of course, I'm discounting the "Unlimited" JP glitch and Item Duplication glitches, all of which make the game insanely easy. Though the JP glitch isn't *quite* as useful as some would think, considering the MP costs vs the actual amount of MP you have (which isn't much, even after a bit of leveling up).

Well... I didn't mean that to mean it makes the game *too* easy. Just saying that it makes the game *easier*... it basically eliminates the need for any massive "boring" leveling up, as long as you're somewhat intelligent with your JP spending and job choice. Which isn't difficult. It's a fun game no matter what, as far as I'm concerned. Hell... even now, I've started a new record. This time, I created some unique, but not overpowered, characters to start with using Gameshark... just to add a little fun without making things too easy. It's games like these that, even if you've played through a handful of times, it never gets old. And definitely a good game for fun tweaking without "cheating" your way through the game (cheating for the cause of making the game easier). *That* kind of cheating is no fun. But cheating to add variety is fine. Like accessing the Citadel level in Goldeneye... but I digress...
