Heya peeps, new guy to these parts.
And a total noob regarding emulators.

When I start the pSX emulator, the bios file is missing, could anyone tell me which file I am actually looking for?

btw read the readme, and I'm afraid that I didn't quite understand.

Yeah, but where can I usually find SCPH1001 and SCPH7502?

You can find BIOS in your PSX...
Anyway, google for the information about SCPH-1001 that way you can get desired results.

When you own a real playstation, there's also the possibility of dumping your own PSX BIOS instead of getting it from the internet. Below is a short description, which should give you an idea of how dumping it works. If you're familiar with the utilities being used there, you are already able to dump it. If not, searching the net is again a good idea here !

To dump a PlayStation BIOS, you need a GameShark or Action replay and a PC comms link. To start, you need either a real Caetla module or go to Google (http://www.google.com) and search for "Caetla" (it's a BIOS replacement for your module, so properly read the included documentation before installing it!!).

Now upload "Caetla", and use use the caetla commands for downloading a binary memory image from the region 0x0bfc00000 - 0x0bfc7ffff! Now save the image as SCPHxxxx.bin, where xxxx is your PSX's model number, and ePSXe will recognise it and use it from now on.

How to get it is up to you... but here is surely not the place to find any of these files.

Its illegal to download a psx bios file if you dont own a psx, thats why we're not allowed to tell you where to download it from

It's pretty much illegal to download them at all... even if you own a Playstation, and even if you own the exact model you're downloading a BIOS for. Same situation as ROMs, with that "delete within 24 hours..." crap... you can make your *own* backup, but you can't acquire a different one, because it would not be the exact one that you legally own.
