Ripping PSX files into ISOs.

Is there any freeware that lets me rip a PSX CD into an ISO, or am I not allowed to ask these kinds of questions?

ISOBuster is a trial program if you don't pay for it, but it keeps working indefinitely. I can't remember if CloneCD is or not, but you could always rip your discs quickly if it has a 30 day trial period . Alcohol 120% is an excellent ripper but it only has a 30 day trial period. ISO Producer is a free download that works quite well.

Thanks. ISOProducer works perfectly.

I provided info on how to configure ISOProducer to other people viewing this forum who doesn't know how to use the program.
1.Open up ISOProducer
2.Click on Configure Plugins
3.On the 'interface' dropdown menu, do the following.
-Select W9X/ME -ASPI scsi commands if you are using Win 9x or ME, or
-Select W2K/XP -IOCTL scsi commands if you are using Win 2000 or XP.
4.On the 'drive' dropdown menu, select the CD/DVD drive you are using.
5.Don't pay attention to the 'Read mode' dropdown menu.
Click the 'try autodetection' button on the side of the 'Read mode' dropdown menu.
6. That's all you need to do to configure ISOProducer.

Over and out.

I prefer using ISOProducer because it is a freeware.

It is not much use if it does not create subchannel data, which is needed by some games.

I don't have any subchannel-equipped discs to try out, but there's an option in the P.E.Op.S. CD plugin to read subchannel data from inserted discs. It might do it at the same time it makes the ISO, or give you the option to do so in the ISO Producer GUI. If not, you can go into P.E.Op.S. and tell it to create a subchannel file from your disc.

yes, but very rarely. and in those cases you can just stick a PPF patch on it--or switch your ISO making program just for that one disc.

I have been switching between ISO producer and Alcohol 120% but lately i
started using EFP ISO plugin + CDVD plugin launcher and i'm pretty satisfied with that.

wow, where to start...

1. wrong section
2. thread jack
3. stupid/uninformed question (for two reasons...if you'd read the PCSX2 section or site, you'd see where PCSX2 is. second, no emulator will ever be 100% working)
4. NGEmu doesn't support piracy. you won't get any help with a pirated game, or how to find them. go buy the games.

nice first post. if you need anything else, post it in the PCSX2 section. if you do not, you will be banned.
