FF8 help needed

right i am new to the ePSXe emulator. my playstation 2 is bust and im in desperate need of playing Final Fantasy VIII (fan-tas-tic game). i have the original cd. so i downloaded ePSXe. and got the pal bios (scph7502.bin) then got the following plugins and configured them

Graphics: P.E.Op.S. Soft Driver 1.17
Audio: Eternal SPU Plugin 1.41
CDRom: Mooby2 cd disk image driver 2.8

i then ran from CDROM and entered in the final fantasy .img

after getting really excited about nearly being able to play my favourite game up comes an error message destroying my hopes.
"Seek past end of disc
on line: 334
in file: C:\projects\cdrmooby2\Fileinterface.hpp"

i click ok then the second error message appears
"Runtime error!
abnormal program termination"

plllleeeaasseee help a bloke in distress . i believe it may be a fault with the cd but as im useless i thought someone here may be able to help.
cheers

You need to make the image of the game, use Alcohol 120% with playstation
profile + .ccd option, after that select Mooby2 cd disk image driver 2.8 as your cd plugin and click Run Cd, now select the image that you have made with Alcohol 120%.

Yes, i did.
What version of game do you have, if you have PAL you maybe need a ppf patch.

Did you try on PCSX, PSXeven or SSSPSX?

out of that list, i'd say, in order best to worst, PSXeven, SSSPSX, then PCSX--but that doesnt mean they arent all good; you should definitely try them out for yourself.

Enable fps limit in the video config:

As for save, is that a quick save from pSX?, save to a memory card and then
load a save from memory card in SSSPSX.

Load a savestate, then do a regular save (in FFVIII save on save point), now close the emulator
and copy the xxxx.mcr (memory card) from pSX's memory card folder to a SSSPSX's memory card folder, now select a file
as your memory card, start the game and load a save.

balls is there noway of getting it from a quicksave because ive saved it miles away from a save point and just before it crash's (its a cut scene aswell) i take it this could mean starting from the begining again.
