Xenogears - cutscenes issue

I've been using pSX for a short while and found it was flawless at emualting everything i thow at it, all apart for two things - when i try and save to memory card it comes up save failed, and on cutscenes the video has twice now stopped and the audio continues
Any help please, i've search everywhere for an answer to both and i can't fix either.

EDIT -- Nevermind i found the answer on the pSX Forum... duh... just a -r switch sorted it all out, and there solution for the memory card issue is so simple its kinda annoying lol.

One question though, does anyone find that when using the -r switch to solve the cutscene issue that the game randomly pauses and unpauses all the time?? is this part of the resceduling process?
Not that i mind, its a small price to pay

I'm having the same exact problems with the cutscenes, what is an -r switch, and how can i change it?

I have encountered this problem right when the cutscene happens the first time you enter the forest and meet that girl.

You do it through a command line parameter.
Start>run>cmd type pSX directory like so;
C:/pSX/psxfin.exe -r.
I recommend you use Shendo's Frontend though, makes switches quicker.

Can you be more specific about the memory card issue? (Yes i'm one of those type of people who need a step by step explanation if you don't mind) I'm at the verge of having a seizure breakdown just by trying to figure out how to fix this damned "Save Failing" process! I've searched up and under for information on how to fix it so far your answer is the closest! But i need a simple termed explanation about this crap, i'm not a damn genius! :P

EDIT Okay, so i guess idiots like me, figured it out...I TOOO FEEL COMPLETELY ANNOYED! For future references to those who are wondering about how to save on Xenogears...

All you do is NOT use any type of savestate what so ever! Save ONLY by directly onto memcard or else you'll end up having those "Saving Failed" errors again. Yeah that's it. Pretty annoying huh? It means don't cheat(savestate), be legit(memcard).

i use save states and memcard in xenogears w/o problems , though the i do have a problem with the cut scene failure >.< ( disk 2 . not long after Elly cuts her hand for the monster) [ for those who haven't got that far , don't worry , that doesn't give away anything really important ] the pic stops as blood is running down the sword , but the audio cont , after the audio is finished it stays frozen at that picture

My cut scenes used to freeze at a dream sequence when Fei is in that transportation vehicle, but i researched what that -r meant and what i found was something called pSX Frontend? Can't remember first part, but i do know its frontend. Something like that. Download that and when installed start it up and just explore it. You'll eventually know what -r means. (its in one of the tabs) Overall, the cut scene didn't freeze anymore. Hope that helps.
