well if you want to try ePSXe it's really not that difficult it just requires a little bit of work but it's not really that bad and seeing that your computer is more than adequate to run ePSXe you should really check it out by the way since you have a laptop make sure that all powersaving features are off actually better yet keep the laptop plugged into the wall for optimal usage.

to get ePSXe running i'd first suggest going to this thread which tells you how to get games working on ePSXe then if you're still having problems it links you to this thread which has a lot of general troubleshooting advice and should be your first stop to checking it out, please note the part about remaking an image and the tutorial it links to because an opcode error could very well be a problem caused by bad data being sent aka you made a bad iso or there is a CD reading error.

oh and maybe in the future, use proper punctuation. just a thought. as you can see, it's prettttty annoying to have to read through a gigantic chunk of text.

Look! Hushy is complaining about someone's ponctuation. This NEVER happens.

hey psicomaniaco, you're back! and not using exclamations! that's so wonderful! i'm glad to see you're back and not using so much annoying punctuation!! yay!!!!!!!!

by the way, the feud is over. if you want to use normal punctuation (i see that you are now, which is nice) and stop insulting me, we won't have a problem. of course, if you want to continue to be annoying to all our members and insult me, you will be banned. making fun of an admin is not a smart idea. hey, one of my real life good friends did it on this forum, and he got banned. i have no sympathy for anyone.

Well, I'm treating you the same way you always treat everyone. And don't you think that you are also anoying when you complain about stupid stuff??

Anyway, I'm not doing anything worth banning, and I'm not insulting you, I'm just pointing out the fact that you complain too much, wich is just the truth. Does the truth hurts??

And I already know that you have no sympathy for anyone, since you are made of ice.

haha, i think at the time he was just pissed, so he didnt care anymore he got banned for just doing a bunch of stupid crap then eventually calling Betamax a "faggot" then trying to make up excuses why he said it so he wouldnt get banned.

psicomaniaco: it seems like you don't, but i have standards. I DONT LIKE WHEN PEOPLE TYPE IN ALL CAPS. or when they use a lot of exclamation points!!!!! because it seems like you're being yelled at!!!!! i also really dont like when people ramble on and on and on about a lot of random crap and actually make an entire post without using any punctuation or any marker that lets you see when a sentence thought or question ends which makes it really hard to help people out i am trying to help people you understand right? it alz0 k1nd@ sUx wen p33pz b3 lyk tokkin wike diz cuz i dunn0 wot dey be seyinz. i also dont read posts that are just giant, unorganized blocks of text.

in other words (and in proper english), i think that if people expect to get help, they should make their posts readable. in OT or general pictures or something where it's looser, sure, go ahead, post however you want. but when you want someone to give you help, is it wise to be rude? if you need to email a teacher or professor for help with something, would you talk to him the same way you talk to your friends? notice how i dont really use perfect typing (i just skipped the capitalization on the I and i didnt use a apostrophe on "don't" and "didn't"). but when i email a teacher, professor, or even my mother, i type correctly. it's just a respect thing.

so am i complaining? i suppose so. but is it reasonable? i think so. i honestly do. i'm not gonna tell someone "your avatar is ugly. change it." or something like that. but if people want ME to help them out, i think that as someone helping out (and also as their superior on this forum, as an admin), i have the right to tell them how i want them to talk to me. and hey, im not very strict, am i? normal english is fine. i try to have my posts set a good example. i space out my ideas, i write in proper english, i have reasonably good spelling, etc.

it's true that i dont have sympathy for anyone. it's the internet, why should i? i'm actually a pretty kind hearted guy compared to other people...

anyway, that all brings me around to a main point. i insult a lot of people. i've called a lot of people douchebags. but have i ever done so without reason? without provocation? do i ever flame incessantly? most of the time when i do say something rude, i explain it as best i can. also, one thing that might seem quite unfair....be careful when you're insulting admins it's kind of like giving an obscene gesture to another person when you're driving your car. it's normal to get angry and do something rash to a normal person, and probably nothing will happen. but wait until you flip off that police officer....

Actually, if he would not have complained about it, I would have been the one to do so.

There is a difference between writing a formal letter and typing something informal, however one would not write a letter to a friend without using proper punctuation, if you get what I'm saying

Iceydamo: Assuming you have the Pal version, I suggest you try making an image with Alcohol 120% with the Playstation presettings, this will enable subchannel reading and that should make your game start. If not, please let us know.

first check here, but like Cid said, it's probably a subchannel/copy protection problem, being that you're from the UK. like Cid said, you can make an ISO with subchannel data, OR

1. enable subchannel reading in your CD plugin (peops CDR does this)
2. use a PPF patch (either with your ISO, or in PEops CDR plugin). get a PPF patch here.

actually i'm a Japanese major. but you know what? this is an english language forum. i'm from the US, and you're from the US. maybe, just maybe, you shouldnt be posting for help at 2AM. maybe you should've gotten a good night's rest, woken up the next morning, and then made a coherent post.

usually, when you're asking someone a favor (or asking for help), you tend to be a little more polite, yes? you wouldnt go up to your school's dean and say HEY JERKWAD I NEED TO TALK TO YA BOUT SOMETHIN, would you? that's a bit rude. the same thing goes when you're asking for help and you type what, a hundred or more words and you use just four periods. i know it could've easily been worse. you could've written it in russian and then babelfished it, probably. but you know what else? it could've been a lot better. don't sell yourself short. is this what you do in real life? talk yourself out of things by undercutting yourself? does your boss come up to you in your job, "hey Josh, can you please tell me why i asked you to do this and you did it pretty poorly?" to which you respond "well sir, you should just be glad that i didnt REALLY **** it up..i mean seriously this is nothing compared to how bad i could've made it".

sometimes, all it takes is a a little thinking.
