Which control pad is compatible with pSX?

I'm having a problem with my Gravis USB game pad wit pSX. Is there someone who knows which brand or type of controller that is compatible with this emulator?

you'd rather buy a new gamepad than switch to a different emulator so you can use a pad plugin? man, you are a hardcore pSX fan huh?

does your pad work in any other games? are the drivers up to date? if you have a profiling program on, turn it off.

or you could try ePSXe, or PSXeven/SSSPSX/PCSX with a pad plugin.

well, my game pad works fine on ePSXe v1.6.0. but when i upgraded my video card to GeForce FX, the emulator seems to slow down for some reason. and when i try this new emulator my games run flawlessly at a great speed. if someone could help me solve my slow down problem on ePSXe, would'nt mind buying a new controller. also my friend told me that may be its the video plugin that im using (Pete's D3D) is causing the problems, but i don't know why?

Joytokey (jtk379en.zip google it) should solve yours and everyone elses problem for any emulator having problems with any joypad. My Saitek was acting up on me in pSX so I just whipped out the JoytoKey and the problem was solved. Just assign the joypad buttons to the keyboard keys and it works just the same as long as you computer detects your joypad. It's a better alternative that buying a new controller. It's also good for assigning savestate buttons to your joypad.
