Memory Cards

I need help on making one for this emu. i like the way it plays, but i can't save. i tried transfering from my Epsxe, but it doesn't seem to work. any suggestions?

i did search google and these forums before asking.

did you rename the mem card from epsxe to .bin?

I did that to use a few of my old saves and it worked for me..

thanks man, well i downloaded a save off Game Faqs. and then saved over it for FF8. so, do i just make the .gme to .bin. and then it should load?

The saves in my Epsxe are .mcr Not sure what a gme is? try renameing it and see if it works, if not all you got to do is put it back to the original and wont be hurt any

hmm..it still keeps saying thers no memory card. i can do Save states fine. but i heard they can tend to screw up the game in the long run. so id rather not keep doing that.

exactly, HOW did u do it for yours?

I used the memcard that epsxe creates, I didnt download it any saves.
Your best bet is to use the .mcr file that you make in epsxe and rename that, also make sure you copy it to the new emulators memory card folder and set the emulator to use it in the config file

Actually, it isn't necessary to rename an ePSXe memory card for it to work with pSX. When trying to open a memory card file from pSX, go to the folder you keep your ePSXe memory cards and type *.mcr then press enter. Your ePSXe memory cards should be available for pSX using now.

That's how I got my ePSXe saves to work. I checked them in the BIOS and they all appear intact. But I haven't yet been able to actually try any games because it doesn't support .img files.

Did you try to convert your .img files? Or you just didn't have the time yet? MagicISO, among others, is doing fine out there...
