I think that if I want to play any newer emulators I will have to upgrade...but where do I start?
By waiting for the emulators to be done

@Chu Tuoc: A TNT2 is fast enough to get any psx game running, you might experience some slowdown at moments (framebuffer effects in Xenogears for example) but all games are fully playable with it. It all depends on what you want to do.

If you want basic psx emulation with minor filtering a 600mhz Celeron with 16mb videocard will be enough. A friend of mine played FF9 on such a computer and it ran perfectly fine.

yes i know ,it just my fault to turn everything on .I already finished FF9 with my old PC.This is an old PIII 550Hz with a SIS 305 ,which is the worst graphic card on the Earth (use it and you will know why they can't compete with ATI or Nvidia )

what in the hell are you talking about boy? of course we know how to configure ePSXe and what its min specs are...but that's irrelevant, because chp asked about pSX, not ePSXe. oh, and not only that, but ePSXe's overview/minimum specs are here and there is a configuration guide for help on this site already, here.

Mostly everything work real fine on my old comp (which i resurected just to test this emu)

Spec : P3 733 mgz
24 mb TNT2 card
512 mb ram pc133
some on-board soundcard

All games i tried run at a real acceptable framerate (from 97 to 100%). The only problems i got were with the PAL version of Symphony of the night which dosn't go full screen and has messed up dialog boxes. So i gue this is pretty close to the minimum.
