Valkyrie Profile: screen suddenly pauses when in battle

at some point when im in battle the screen will suddenly pauses while the game goes on (this thing doesn't occur in ePSXe). im getting furious about this

heres my graphic config

anyways is there a way to change the quicksave buttons? (cause im used to make f1 as quicksave and f3 as quickload and the quicksaves in pSX always takes me back to square one)

This is a known issue with this game!

All you can do is try another emu or wait to see if the next release fixes the problem!

start the emulator with psxfin.exe -r
it should fix the problem
