Spyro problem

I want to play Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon, but there is no background music, some effects are there, and most importantly, there is no main menu. I also own Spyro 2, and it has choppy music but other than that it appears fine, judging by the main menu, and Spyro 1 appears to work fine, also judging by the main menu. Crash Bash has a similar difficulty where you cannot see the pause menu items, but still hear and select them. Does anybody have any ideas?

Which emulator are you using and which settings and plugins do you use? I remember the Spyro 3 no music issue. Try a different audio plugin.

I am using PSX version 1.13, which is not plugin oriented.

Dude here is a emulator fully configured that works with spyro the dragon. So one would think that it will work with the sequel too.

You extract it with WinRar and then file RUN iso or cdrom...the contros are already configured I think.

Have fun!

pSX also works with Spyro 1+2, but not 3. I'll still give it a try once I get ePSXe up and running.

Indeed pSX does not use plugins. Spyro 3 has compatibility issues with the emulator as reported here. I suggest you to use another one like ePSXe.

Yes, I am aware of those issues, but that isn't the issue I am having trouble with, the one I am having trouble with is that the main menu cannot be seen or heard, and may not even exist. I am looking into ePSXe as suggested by Zarnik, but thanks for the input.

I'am from russia, my english bad, sry. I using ePSXe 1.6 and full set configured and best plugins. In crash bash a similar difficulty, but it is not important. I am interested in background music in Spyro 2 - when i listen to the voice, lost background music. How can I fix this? Give me the correct audio plugin ( i using ePSXe SPU core 1.5.2 sound plugin and Null2's Audio Driver 1.4 - not working, losing background music)
