Touchy scrolling in Suikoden II
Is there a switch that would fix this? I really have to be careful, as the cursor scrolls so fast. It's very easy for it to land on "bribe" in battle rather than "auto." Sometimes, it's very hard to select between "yes" and "no" as it scrolls so fast.

Which version of pSX are you using, donutbandit? And what controller?
pSX Author introduced a fix for this behaviour a few versions back but, although it seems to have fixed the problem on the Controllers configuration tab (which AIR was what he intended), some games still exhibit this behaviour in menus. ATM the only solution seems to be a light touch!

This happens in v1.13, the newest version, as it's the one I have experienced it on. As far as I know, there isn't a way to fix it at the present time. EDIT: I guess I should mention that I'm using a PS2 controller on some cheap adapter I got from Amazon for like $7.99. I can't remember if I tried it using just my keyboard. |

This may well have to do with your controller if it's a force feedback one, Mako Eyes. Each button on such a controller behaves like an axis rather than a switch, and this seems to confuse the emulator. AFAIK with a standard, non-force feedback controller, the situation will be as I described: most games will be fine, but in affected games, the controller may act with abnormal sensitivity in menus, but not in normal play.
That's why I asked donutbandit what controller he was using. If you try your keyboard as a controller (or use a non-force feedback one), you should find either that everything's fine, or that the situation is as I described - excessive sensitivity in menus, but not otherwise. |

I thought that was what you meant, donutbandit; I just wanted to make sure.
No I don't know of any benefit you'd get from using version 1.12 rather than 1.13. Do you just get the excessive sensitivity in menus or, like Mako Eyes, do you get controller problems in normal (i.e. not in menus) play? |

I should also mention that my PS2 controller adapter (though it was advertised) doesn't support rumble. I'm not sure if that would change anything that patrickp described though. |
