For some reason, I cannot get TMOTF to play past a certain point, right after the first actual fight in the game, on the PSXFin. It just kind of stops responding. Like, the game is running, but it just stops progressing. It worked on the ePSXe just fine, but I messed that emulator up somehow, and I don't feel like reconfiguring it again. I've tried using the bin/cue, ccd, ISO, img, and every other version of image there is, but nothing's working. I've tried changing the controller configuration, which did nothing. I'm lost and confused, and I don't like it. If anyone has any insight as to what is going on, please let me know. Thanks. |

Also, trying the -r switch may help.

Easiest way to do it is to use Ultima's pSX Frontend to enable the switch. It's called Event Rescheduling, and has been known to work for getting past some situations with symptoms like this. It may or may not work, but it's definitely worth a shot.

I don't think using save states would have an effect that early in the game, jonc2006 - AFAIK it usually takes the overall result of tens of hours of gameplay before the errors accumulate sufficiently to affect the game. @AstralRomance51: I notice you've tried several image types, but not the original CD. Since you no longer have your CD, I suspect you're trying different image formats by ripping from one to another: this is useless, since the faults or shortcomings in the original are simply perpetuated. The only way to gain the advantages of ripping to a different format is to re-rip from the original source; i.e. the CD. Also, you should bear in mind that since you traded the original game in, you no longer legally own it, and it's illegal to keep an image of it. |

I own the game, but use emulators/roms now to spare my discs any more wear and tear...that and my system isn't exactly what it used to be. Anyway, I'm having the same problem with my .cue rip of the game and would appreciate any insight on how to alleviate this. Thanks.
