Is the grainy look an effect? I don't like it but I guess you have to play it to appreciate the look I suppose.

I've never liked such noise effect. Leggy nurse though , look at those jaggies in the second screenshot. The 20th screenshot look like a RE environment.
Anyway this game looks creepier than the previous ones, graphically still promising from what I can watch here.

Yes, the grainy look is any additional effect, which you were able to turn off in SH2 and SH3 and most probably SH4. I am not sure, but removing it gives cool graphics and adding it gives another of taste of environment.

I'm not sure if you knew this already, but IIRC you can no long just pause the game by going into your inventory. It's do or die. If you don't have weapons when you need them, you're screwed. In other words, the inventory menu is now "real time" Still I can't wait for this game. I just wish RE4 was released for PC. I also hope this comes to PC though I'm quite sure it should......I hope

I hope they change the inventory layout then....
I hope there's some more "weaponless" combat. I mean, this guy should be able to kick and punch, like we saw Leon in Re4.

Actually such feature would be great, I don't know if you adventured through the nasty RE remake mode where the items in the box were no longer linked, that's a good way to plan what you'll be using for the next stages of the game. Now regarding SH this would add huge amounts of pains in the arse thus enhancing the fear factor and the gameplay as well.
I second that the inventory layout should be improved/changed, now thta you mention it, it's ugly and kind of hard to use, not "easy going" menus neither.

Violineb, I'm still waiting RE remake and the other games to be ported to PC, maybe someday.

Well if Capcom were anything like newegg.com then emails would easily sway them into porting RE back to PC. I complained to newegg, as well as like a gazillion other people and the prices have finally went back down somewhat Now if only RE4 wasn't going to be a GCN exclusive. I can't stand Gamecube.....for no reason really. I just don't know why. I think it's the controller.

Capcom has laid off their PC development division due to poor finance. You probably won't see any PS2 port to PC games for a while. As for the Silent Hill series, it looks promising but I think they have run out of fresh ideas. I hope it doesn't come to RE series whereas the games keep using its old ideas and one simple story.

Old ideas and simple story. Sorry but I don't see that happening in the SH series, not at least in SH4.

Simply SH is developing/polishing the story, it's still a young/exploitable franchise, still has a lot to offer while RE needs a great finale.

Great finale you say? I think Capcom has other ideas.

I mean, Leno seems to be in a totally different place with totally different ppl (may be). It has I guess something to do with brainwashing.

In the trailer I saw, at the end a gong ranged and everyone left Leon alone in the village. What's that about?

Well I was thinking about the finale some time ago, after watching the trailer, I cannot assume anything, after playing the game definetely the whole RE concept can has its revolutionary change.

I just watched the trailer, I'm really impressed about the new game features added on it, it really increased my curiosity about the game, seems that the good stuff is about to come after the villagers ran out of there Fawad, who knows?.

Yeah, specially the acuatic worm, it remembered me Dino Crisis 2 blowing out the dinos. But the atmosphere created by the trailer is damn good, just look how the heads blowing up with the shotgun , maybe what is intrigating is the fact that there's no zombies around.
WTF with that Sherry Birkin photo?
