Installing GSdx plugin

Hey guys,

I downloaded pcsx2 0.94 and installed it, this came with the GSdx 9 plugin v0.10 or something like that. When I tried to download the GSdx plugin (the one that uses dx 10 from the sticky at the top of the plugins section) and put it into the plugin folder, I still can't finding it on the list of plugins when I look on the configuration screen of them menu. Can anyone tell a noob how to properly install a new plugin? I copied and pasted the GSdx.dll file into the plugins folder. But under the video section of the configuration window, I still only see the 4 original plugins that the emulator installed with:
ZeroGS KOSMOS 0.97.0, ZeroGS KOSMOS Openg GL 0.97.0, ZeroGS KOSMOS (no SSE2) 0.97.0, and GSdx9 (MVSC 14.00, SSE2) 0.10.0. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

GSdx9 is "old", grab yourself GSdx (features DX9 and DX10 code in one plugin)

You mean the folder that the pscx2.exe file is in rather than the plugin folder? I tried that too but it didn't work. It's like it wont' read the dll or something? Is there something I'm supposed special i'm supposed to do when adding a plugin?. I even tried setting the plugin location to a folder with only the GSdx plugin in it and it still won't read it.

I have a Core 2 Extreme, the one with 8 MB of L2 clocked at 2.66GHz. I'm a bit of a noob so i'm not sure what an SEE2 processor is. And where do i put the additional files? For th GSdx9 that came with the emulator, i didn't see any additional files in the plugin folder for it, I only saw the GSdx9.dll. but for the GSdx (the new one i'm trying to install) I downloaded the additional files link that was right under it in the GSdx thread on the sticky and stuck the contents in the plugins folder -- same folder as the GSdx.dll and the GSdx9.dll -- but that didn't seem to help at all.

The additional DLL files should be placed in the root PCSX2 directory. Either that or in %windir%/system32.

I had exactly the same problem. The solution was to download BOTH (DX9 & DX10) additional dll's to PCSX2 root folder. And the actual plugin in to the plugin folder.

I put the d3dcompiler_36.dll and the d3dx10_36.dll in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Pcsx2_0.9.4 directory and the GSdx.dll in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Pcsx2_0.9.4\plugins but when i run the pcsx2.exe and go to config, I still only see the original GSdx9 plugin (unless i remove the old GSdx9.dll from the C:\Program Files (x86)\Pcsx2_0.9.4\plugins folder, in which case I only see the ZeroGS plugins). I'm using windows vista 64 bit if that makes any diff.

Remember to put also the additional dx9 file to C:\Program Files (x86)\Pcsx2_0.9.4 and it should work. With d3dx10_36.dll alone it doesn't work.

I'm also running Vista 64bit, and so far i'm having about 25hours of FFX behind
