I did some more testing with Spectral vs Generation. ZeroGS can apparently render it correctly thanks to something called "path3 hack" which is toggled with f9.
I was wondering, if something like that would be hard to implement into GSdx. |

Well, one more report on FFX from me.
![]() I've replayed the game from scratch up till the part when Tidus surfaces at the beach. I set the GSdx settings mentioned by Firnis. While I can confirm that the glitch is definitely less prominent (for instance, in the first battle I didn't see any stripes appear on the terrain, and usually entering the battle doesn't trigger the stripes to appear), it's still there, at least for me -- for instance, on the Al Bhed ship when Tidus speaks with Rikku and we can see the sky, the sky is striped in certain places. Also, on the Al Bhed ship, entering and exiting the character menu triggers the appearance of semi-transparent stripes on the ship itself (the back part of it, mostly). Also, the beach is still striped for me, although the stripes are "better" now (not as opaque - semi-transparent, and thinner). I enclose a screenshot to show what I mean. I'm not sure why I'm still getting this bug while everybody else doesn't, and why I'm the only one getting this bug on two different PCs... If I figure out how to fix this, I'll tell you what the problem was. If you have any further advice, I'll be very grateful. P.S. About the screenshot - even though the bug is still there for me, the picture looks much nicer than with the previous versions -- the stripes used to be solid black, almost completely opaque, and very thick. - Agetian Last edited by Agetian; December 27th, 2007 at 17:53. |

Serio
Make a patch to your game with "path3hack=1". ![]() Patch file may contain next "variables": fastmemory, vunanmode, patch, path3hack, zerogs, roundmode; For more info go to pcsx2 discuss thread.

Man, I tried the newest GSDX version (0.1.1) and it sucks -.-;
All games need over 2 minutes to start... ![]() And IF the game start (normally pcsx2 0.9.5 build 339 and 0.9.4 crashes before), it works for 5 sec. and then its a big lag-.- The version 1.0 is perfect; works without problems, hope the next release will be better...

edit: on a second testing, seems gsdx9 0.11.2 was the last one that doesnt have this problem, in the rest of the game doesnt seem to happen anymore (at least not that i noticed but then again it was the corrupted sky/floors that i noticed the most :P)

Gabest said that for now OSD (on screen display, the small text that tell you fps among other things xD) is not implemented yet in new plugin. SOmething about the function not working under dx10 if I remember correctly.
