Anyone having this error when building revision 757?

.\baseclasses\wxutil.cpp(277) : error C2065: 'COINIT_DISABLE_OLE1DDE' : undeclared identifier

I didn't find "COINIT_DISABLE_OLE1DDE" anywhere else than the source file and its related header file, so i'm wondering if there's another source file missing. Do i need a SDK pack other than the DirectX one?

It won't help him
CidVicious, search the project for "hr = (*pCoInitializeEx)" and change COINIT_DISABLE_OLE1DDE to 4 so the whole line looks like:
"hr = (*pCoInitializeEx)(0, 4 );"

SVN 757 adds something interesting (haven't compiled SVN758 yet). Take a look at the screen shot. I'm assuming SW stands for Software.

oh wow!

i think gabest might have made Software rendering Multi-threaded.

so if you have a quad-core processor, you might benefit from software rendering.

but i havn't looked at the sourcecode yet...

From what i can tell, it's multi-threaded software rendering, apparently a way for 4-core (or above) users to fully exploit their CPU (which means dual core users have no need for it). Since i don't have a quad-core, i have no idea if it works well.

someone with a quad-core should try it out, and enter 3-threads in the box to see if its any faster.

edit:

btw, i hope gabest comes back here and starts uploading his builds again.

I would love to try it, but I can't seem to compile this for some reason. I second the return of gabest :-P. We miss you.

EDIT: Managed to compile the SSE2 Release; I'll post my findings regarding the multi-threading feature.

errr..... seriously......
obviously all these changes are experimental and still in progress. Obviously gabest is not going to make an official release till they are at least somewhat stable.

Give the guy a break, you should be happy he's back to coding..... YOu have waited 4 months since he last posted a release and he didn't code anything, sure you can wait some more now that he's coding...

okay krakatos, what are we suppost to say then?
that we don't want Gabest back!?

obviously we appreciate the fact that hes back to coding, don't make it seem like we don't, because we said no such thing.

tested sw thread @ 3 and 4 value with my c2q @ 2.4 and i dont notice any speed increase in software mode (dx10), still slow. It's pretty tough guessing what improved/changed in those gsdx svns since gabest didnt post any changelog, though it's nice that he's updating it again after months of waiting. We just have to wait for the official build to know exactly what has been changed/improved/fixed/etc.

Has anyone had luck compiling SSSE3?

I get:

Quote:
1>Linking...
1> Creating library C:\Users\Gabest\Desktop\pcsx2\plugins\GSdx.lib and object C:\Users\Gabest\Desktop\pcsx2\plugins\GSdx.exp
1>GSLocalMemory.obj : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol @SwizzleBlock8u_x86_sse3@12
1>GSLocalMemory.obj : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol @SwizzleBlock8_x86_sse3@12
1>GSLocalMemory.obj : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol @unSwizzleBlock16_x86_sse3@12
1>GSLocalMemory.obj : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol @unSwizzleBlock8_x86_sse3@12
1>C:\Users\Gabest\Desktop\pcsx2\plugins\GSdx.dll : fatal error LNK1120: 4 unresolved externals
Interestingly enough, if I compile under x64, SSSE3 compiles fine, but pcsx2 refuses to recognize the plugin even with the updated VS .dlls.

EDIT: Nevermind, it seems gabest hasn't quite finished ssse3 in x86.cpp yet.

Could you please stop trying to compile incomplete code? Or at least not spam in this thread about it.
The developer will release a new version when it's done and functions properly.

veaac is right, if you use unfinished code what do you expect?, wait until a new svn version is up or he releases a new version or even better you can fix the problems yourself.

I'm learning as I go. You were all new to this before as well. I just ask for some patience as I get this ironed out since I have to find out all of this on my own.

Rest assured, I won't be bothering you all anymore.
