You should have been here long enough to know not to ask about source compilation for the emulator and its plugins.

The speed difference is undeniable. While before I was running Disgaea 2 at half-speed, now it seems on par with the speed of an actual PS2 on my system. This plug-in is absolutely fantastic in that sense.

The problem comes with the fact that with this plug-in, the world in Disgaea 2 flashes from visible to invisible every 0.6 seconds or so. It's only the world. For clarification, the world is 3D geometry while everything else is not with the exception of the characters which are (I assume) quads with 2D images placed on them. The characters don't flash, only the actual ground beneath them as well as any houses, rocks, etc (any part of the world).

Disgaea 2? Use different interlacing mode <F5 while ingame or set it in GSDX config>. And make sure to not use vu-skip or frame skip <config CPU or F4 while ingame>. GSDX doesn't support current frameskipping modes.

Note: disable 'wait vsync' option in GSDX. U'll be sc**** with 30fps at max on some of the interlacing modes.

No posting to unofficial builds! If I wasn't dead tired I'd get the ban hammer out.

gabest has taken about a 3 month break; he never mentioned he quit GSdx, so its presumed that hes going to come back, hes probably just really busy, or something happened in his life that he dosn't have time to work on this right now...

anyways, after 3 months, its still open so far.

hopefully they don't close it, but if people keep posting off-topic stuff they will

Gabest still working on Gsdx, infact he is working on it right now, I checked the SVN, last accessed and modified by him 51 minutes ago.. so stay tuned, cause he got some more important projects like media player classics, (I couldn't enjoy watching porn without his tool )

oh wow!

he did update the SVN on May 5th as well as today, and hes added a bunch of files and changes.

looks like he was quietly working on it, and is probably going to come back with a big release

this is awsome.
all hail gabest

I've heard SSE4 will actually benefit PCSX2 itself, quite abit. I can't remember where I read it, but someone important said it. That, or it was 4.1 SSE4

Sonic-X, in graphics, alpha often has to do with transparency, so I think it fixes issues in some games with stuff being opaque when they should be translucent, or reverse. In all the games I tried it made no difference though...
