Some help.

Guys, Refraction and many people have been flameing someone named Sonicfan123.. he was a new user of PCSX2. He recently had bios trouble.. and he got them off his PS2, days later, it turned out a program broke his PS2 after the succesful Bios dump.

How do i know all of this? Ive been Emailing Sonicfan123.

The only problem he has left, is GSDX. hes asked multiple times, and no one is respecting his question.

So im going to try to help Sonicfan, by restateing his question and hopeing someone here is Mature enough to help a little kid.

"Hey everybody, my names jack and ive been having trouble with GSDX. I have it running on my laptop, but everytime i put the GSDX files into the Plugins folder, it dousn't show up when i click Configureation and select the dropdown menu... Anyone know what to do?"

Now that isn't exactly what he posted, but he sent me a more informative copy edited by his older brother.

ive seen all of Sonics posts, well almost all of them, and Refraction is not helping.

Hes tired of sonic "Trying" to get help, so he Threatend to Ban sonicfan123 if he continues the Search for help.

Is that really the way to treat a little kid? ive already sent a VERY LONG letter to him/her, telling that person to Un-ban, or let sonic create another account, because if i was really into something, i would want some help on it.

So why not? take 10 minutes of your life and help this kid, im sure after he gets this, he will rarely ever post here again, because he told me it runs fast on his desktop, and he has almost the same specs in his laptop.

So help him out. Need i say more?

Wow what a n00b, at least he's became our latest trophy in the bin.

Anyways to get back on topic, I've been hearing people say that GSDX 0.1.7 is much faster than ZeroGS.

I've tested this on my system and both ZeroGS and GSDX 0.1.7 seem to run at about the same speed.

I've tried Twisted Metal Black and Resident Evil: Code Veronica X and Resident Evil: Code Veronica runs at 30 FPS regardless whether I use ZeroGS or GSDX 0.1.7 . It's the same with Twisted Metal Black.

I know my system isn't top of the line being only a Dual-Core AMD64 3800+ @ 2.0 Ghz with a Geforce 6150, but if other people are seeing an increase in speed with GSDX 0.1.7 shouldn't I be as well?

Is it because of my system or am I configuring the plugin wrong?

I even seen members with similar specs getting a small but yet noticeable FPS increase over ZeroGS with GSDX 0.1.7.

But for me it doesn't seem to be the same, even with speedhacks enabled I can not seem to get better speed with GSDX 0.1.7 over ZeroGS.

Why is this?

your gpu is bottle necking you in both plug-ins.

Well without discussing efficiency of coding between the 2 plugins, GSdx is more gpu intensive that Zerogs. So I suppose it offloads more from the cpu thus allowing higher framerate on the intensely stress *CPU* (edit oops ).
Unfortunately your integated gpu isn't capable off littling much weight off the cpu.

I myself often see significant differences between the 2 plugins mostly in favour of GSdx.

The differences come also in the ability for the for GSdx to render at higher resolutions than ZeroGS before slowdown occurs.

Thanks, I'm in the process of building a new system so hopefully I won't have a weak GPU anymore.

It's kind of funny my FPS is stuck at 30 in RE:CVX no matter if I use GSDX or ZeroGS or even if I use the speedhacks or not.

Even when I overclock my speed in PCSX2 doesn't change which is a bit weird.

You could get a speed boost by changing the internal res to something smaller than you already set(only for gsdx).

Have you maybe checked VSync? If you have VSync with 60 Hz and computing a single frame always lasts longer than a 1/60 second you cannot get more than 30 fps

For radraz
atidxx32.dll isn't a directx file but is an Ati Driver library.
Possible reason of this error could be:
Ati propietary drivers aren't installed (you are using microsoft drivers for Ati)
Ati drivers aren't up to date (Update them)
Your directx redist aren't up to date
Post your pc specs!!!

Hi,
I've got the same problem, I've read a little in this forum and Rainbow said that it would work if I downloaded the additional dll's. My problem is that I'm new in this "game" of today, so I have no idea how to deal with the new dll's. So my question is: Is the PSCX2 supposed to auto-detect the new dll's? apperently not, so what do I do to make the PSCX2 detect them?

thx in advance

turns out that it was the game that didn't work. i was trying to play "armored core: last raven" and it would only work if it was software rendered...(wouldn't work with gsdx hardware rendered but would work with zerogs). i tried a different game (res evil 4) and had no issuse. anyone have any ideas on how to get AC:LR working? thanks!

Okey, thank you very much

Now there is a new problem:P

When I'm trying to launch the game FFX, it fails.
Anyone come upon that problem before?
Can the reason be that I'm using PCSX2 0.9.1?

Thanks in advance

Sounds like he probably doesn't have MTGS / DC enabled, I got those speeds with mine when I disabled it to get past a part.
