yeah i got the dxsdk november installed with the x64 lib and include folders set but i still get the 15 linker errors. o well 32 bit works great

God of war is listed ingame in pcsx2 compatibility? Meaning no matter the plugin,it just won't work right until it gets fixed in pcsx2

Yeah it's listed in blue meaning: "You can get through menus, intro cutscenes / videos, and see ingame graphics, but either due to graphical bugs, crashes, un-resolved errors, you can't play through the entire game."

So naturally I didn't expect to finish the game just play a little, but god damn I didn't expect this mess ALL the textures are in the wrong place shall we say, can't imagine if you tried a game that is not supported or is in the red, my comp would probably blow up.

I am getting better 'results' with this plugin than the zerogs the menu is a little faster and nicer looking anyway I didn't get too see any ingame graphics like it said I should have just the menus, not to be critical but if they should get one game to work it's this one what are they waiting for it's been so long.

othe devil my cry3 problem

i have a problem with devil my cry3..somes videos don´t be show, and i can´t enyoy the history of the game,,well here i put one pic and file of problem, this video is when dante´s going out of great reptil juts in this line of the video all stay stoped, and in others missions happen the same problem

well so far pcsx2 isnt updated at all, all those news about spiky polygons are a joke, example god of war 1 & 2. i just dont know why team cant focus on that game, due its most advanced game on ps2, that pushes it to the limits. next gsdx problems, take for example metal gear solid 3. 1st in codec mode gfx doesnt crash now, but still gfx isnt correct. doesnt show like its on ps2. in software mode its correct but slow like hell.
next shadows instead of white spots we have dark spots, same happens with tekken like some people screenshots. zerogs does it correctly but again slow like hell. next snake only thing he can do is fall under floor and die. again pcsx2 bug not gsdx. back to gsdx, in intro in plane computer data on monitor looks like its 8bit gfx showed as 16bit and its trash, few minutes later crash due page fault, read of wrong address due pcsx2 bug.
i know this project is free and etc. they did great job but when you look at it, it seems like this emu is just to run ffx. there was once emu of xbox it also could run only turok, other could run menu of halo. maybe its what authors wanna achieve, and runing some other titles is a side effect.

sorry but im not able to tab between windows of a picture. If you are going to upload a picture, please make sure its useful.

Human: the problem isnt easy to fix, ive looked in to it before, believe me its not easy. its not like i can make one line that says "removespikeypolygons = 1" and all is magically better.

we dont focus on single games, we focus on bugs/bad emulation. God of war is most likely caused by incomplete emulation of bad addressing.

Maybe you have never programmed an emu and don't know what you are speaking about.


You can't create specific fix for games only to make people enjoy them. The time spent on those games is trown away.
The ps2 hardware is the same when you change games... so the correct way to creat an emu is to replicate the hardware behavour completely and then all games will run.
Writing things like:
If (game == "metal gears solid 3") {do this and this} is not pcsx2.
is more like "mgs3x"
And that's not what authors want to achieve.

Sorry but I think I will be rude.

The code is public, download it and fix it, since you're obviously so good. Hmm what you can't? How? Surely a man like you would have no problem doing that right?

Or maybe you can just wait like everyone, support the team, and be grateful they allowed you to play your ps2 games on pc.

well it wasnt ment to insult anyone, im asm coder, now learning more c++ and start with opengl and dx, pcsx2 sources are too big to start from scratch to understand it better. so i cant help, what i express is only my opinion. due its odd that software renderer that doesnt use pixelshader does all better only slower. ffx conclusion due most people only post problems here about that game. mgs3 falling it must be related to float conversion or something. next using mmx and xmm using those also cause slowdowns. as i remember when pentium mmx come out. using mmx regs or fpu when earlier other one was used it caused stall in 300 cpu ticks. thats why emms was found. next why all opcodes arent implemented with my image of tekken 5 after intro i have only unimplemented opcode, i tried to look into sources and all i found is big table where is pointer to message only that. earlier i tried to help and asked if can you implement more asm there, but now i can see its impossible. due pseudo asm is used for recompiler. yeah i agree its not easy to fix, due a lot of code to look up. there can be bug in opcode emulation, float conversion or other thing. and dont take that i dont appriciate your hard work. even now its problem for emu due it has 64bit address space on 32bit pc.

The thing that I find odd is that it's been 8 years after launch and still no decent ps2 emulation, compare it with the sega dreamcast, similar launch date and similar system, I can run almost all games on dremcast emulator and they look beautifull much better than on tv because of higher resolution. Every game I tried on the ps2 emulator runs like a piece of **** and looks like one too, textures out of place, sound skips, nothing works properly even the gamecube released two years later has better emulation support, is ps2 really the most complex system? We'll probably end up seeing proper Wii emulation before ps2 catches up and the ps2 was pretty week too, with 290 mhz cpu the xbox was 3x faster with 733 and almost double gpu power.

wtf? the dreamcast is NOTHING like the PS2, and wtf are you talking about it being weaker than the xbox? its a totally different architecture! and MIPS is way more efficient than the ****box

MGS3 is to do with FPU calculation inaccuracy yes, i did make things a bit better from playing around with it. Tekken 5 videos are more than likely due to an IPU problem.

hi refractions thank you because you are here friend, a question: in pcsx2 plugins like gsdx graphics don´t has all the ways and libraries of directx9 or 10, 10-1? i know that every directx has muchs roots and sources that is hard put in c++ and be compatibilty with pcsx2 and be a interpreter of graphics out puit with plugins like gsdx that works interlace with directx..i know that directx work directly with video cards but there are hopes for more graphics out in pcsx2friend??because for example pc games like devil my cry are in play2 too, to me the same graphics and, directx has muchs capacity for greats graphics out is true ? other game is need for speed most wanted in my c2duo 3.0---looks really incredible and real and real and amazing all, and i has only directx9, i can´t think what could make directx10 and, 10-2...today are more peoples working in graphics out put of pcsx2??please excuse me for my bad and mad english believe

when you summon ixion in FFX, the screen is obstructed by weird things...not too big of a problem:
