Controller not detected?
Hm, I got a problem...
I tried playing multiple games but none of them seem to detect my controller... I'm using a recoil controller and here are the pictures to the setup. Oh, also, I'm using SDL 1.2.12 and megapad 1.3.3. |

For crying out loud, use another input plugin such as lilypad. It's not so hard, you know.

Hi,
I didn't give news here for a VERY long time, because I was busy with DeSmuME mods. Now, I don't know what I could improve in DeSmuME, I'll have the time and I'll entirely rewrite MegaPad. I'll also design a new GUI. Maybe I'll use DirectInput instead of SDL, for force feedback. |

I have the same error than DataMatrix.
by giving to see this plugin can have a great success but so must solve that problem and I will be considered the best pad plugin that exists for pcsx2 Since the already congratulations on what has already been done and a good continuation. You have a good project / plugin (after arranged)

It's because of the tons of bugs that I want to rewrite Megapad, and also because I used a hack to get it working with games. I'll use DirectInput for force feedback support and design a new GUI. I found a nice document on how the DualShock controllers work, and I also found one about Xbox controllers. That could be useful to write built-in Xbox controller support (without Xinput (for Xbox controllers)), but I couldn't test it, since I've no Xbox controller.

If you get crashes, use 0.9.4 version instead of beta version.
And, second reason, the problem could be that Megapad doesn't find any joystick (it shouldn't throw an error for that) and the joystick objects are not initialized, and using them will crash Megapad. The new version will be entirely redesigned and will be more accurate. The current versions are inspired on PadWinKeyb for Dualshock protocol, but I found a nice document that explains this protocol better. |

Hi, some news about version 1.4.0 :
- Mouse support will be removed. I think it's useless. Even keyboard players use keyboard instead of mouse, that's why they won't use SSSPSXPAD, nor PadWinKeyb. - It will support force feedback, I'll use values that won't be configurable, when it'll be released, tell me if the vibrations are not accurate (too weak or too strong). I use a Logitech cordless RumblePad II. - It will use DirectInput instead of SDL. The Linux version (will come after) will use SDL but I've no idea for force feedback implementation under Linux. Any info would be welcomed. - I think I'll provide a file that will contain all infos that I could find on how DualShock II joysticks work. - The new version will support some behaviors of the DualShock II controllers, that the other plugins don't seem to emulate. Maybe it'll make some games playable. |
